Based on the evidence put forth by our team so far this year, in particular the last 2 weeks, I am prepared to write us off.
We won’t make the 8 from here.

Lack of a proper key forward killing the lads. If Daniher was playing he’d have had 10 scoring shots by three quarter time such was this teams ability to move the ball at will.

Answerth was awful. Really bad game by him. Swear every time he got the ball it was a really bad turnover.

This shows why back to back is so bloody hard.

The rock hard hunger and intensity to perform is just not there at the moment. Only have to be a few percent off even subconsciously and you get found out, our talent has been getting us through games.

If we can get through to September with a healthy list I think the hunger will return, the problem my be getting there.

We play our best footy when our defensive intensity is elite, it is nowhere near it this season... as of yet.

Give McKenna a full game and put someone like Wilmot in the middle.

He would be lot more defensive and aggressive on the ball, I'd rather see someone else in the middle as a change up rather than same old ding dong. We are losing anyway, what's the worse that could happen?

The season can slip away easily once you lose the passion for the contest and that last quarter was particularly worrying.

We understandably are a little carried away by our GF performance , in hindsight against a weak opponent.

Noah has been great this season but ball in hand tonight he was way off... along with a few others, he just stood out to me, being a defender they were costly errors.

Agree, we can do it but does this team have the passion/mindset to go after it would be the interesting question.

I don’t think I’m being reactionary or over the top. I’n not calling for anyone’s job or melting about specific players.

This is 10 weeks of evidence that we aren’t quite up to it. We have the statistical profile of a team around 9th but we pulled out a few wins to get ahead of the game.

Coming into the actually difficult part of our draw we have an awful form line and questions everywhere.

Agree, just immediate post game ranting.

I still think our best footy, if we play with manic intensity is the best footy in the competition.

When the forward line of Cameron, Lohmann, Rayner, Ah Chee and Bailey combine for 5 tackles in a game. Just shows they don’t want to dig in. Charlie needs to be dropped to send a statement

When Dizz is your best shot for goal and the best at forward craft , and credit to him , you know you've got problems.

Charlie can't hit the side of a barn . And if I see him one more time throw his arms up to his teammates when the ball isn't delivered exactly how he wants it I think I'll throw up.

I only woke up and was able to listen to the last 5 minutes on radio - heard the words Gawn takes a mark about a dozen times. So Gawny must have played well.

The grit from the early season is gone, bit of a form slump. Really need a strong big body marking/spill the ball presence up forward. Missing that and a bit of connection.

We played so much better early last year though! Results didn’t fall our way but we were statically so so much better.

First half of the season is about banking wins and finding your best 23 for finals. Not too worried about stats outside of our lack of defensive accountability in the middle.

I'll be staying away from the footy shows this week, the drooling over the perfect Pies will be vomit worthy.

We were the better team on the day, but you will be challenged, and we were, and we just assumed it'd come good. Effort and pressure not there.

Disagree. Melbourne were the better team today. We were better in the first half, but even in 2nd quarter you could see Melbourne turning things in their favour. They were absolutely better than us in 2nd half. Not dissimilar to last week.

Perhaps this is where we start to really see the impact of reduced pre-season. Just don’t seem to have the legs in the 2nd half.
