Is there anything in this or is it just a classic bigfooty rumour?

Fritch loves to ski downhill. We could do worse though
He is also very selfish on the footy field.Fritta is class. We lack class.

Not saying he isn’t but Ginni was also labelled lazy and somewhat selfish and he’s turned that around. He is also very selfish on the footy field.
Club culture also plays a big part here also. It’s undeniable the morale is totally different at Hawthorn than Melbourne and has been for as long as I’ve been watching football. Get him out of a toxic environment and watch him thrive the Hawthorn way.Not saying he isn’t but Ginni was also labelled lazy and somewhat selfish and he’s turned that around.
I think of all poor habits selfishness is one of the easier ones to rectify.
He knows how to get into the right positions to receive the ball and has very good forward craft for my inexperienced eye. Depending on cost I think he’d be a good get.

Im sure that number is nonsense. His body is busted.
6 years at $1m a year from Bris is utter insanity.
Both statements are essentially true. He is skilled and also selfish. He is also very selfish on the footy field.
I don't think it works that way anymore.IMO, nobody outside of Collingwood, Geelong and Brisbane are a chance this year unfortunately.
Feels like the rest of the 'contenders' (us, GWS, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Dogs) are spinning their wheels waiting for those other 3 sides to age out.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but that's the general feel I have over season 2025.

They have no idea. The so called visionaries on Gettable still have us linked to Oscar Allen as well as chasing Butters, Reid and Walsh from Carlton. If we land anyone of the aforementioned players I hope it is Butters as he is as hard as a cats head and shows plenty of mongrel which is just what we need in our midfield mix.
Fair to say Butters has a more than normal quantity of "campaigner" in him which was a pretty big part of our 3 peat teams (Lewis, Mitch, Lake, Hodge, Buddy, etc). The so called visionaries on Gettable still have us linked to Oscar Allen as well as chasing Butters, Reid and Walsh from Carlton. One of the most combative mids I've ever seen.Fair to say Butters has a more than normal quantity of "campaigner" in him which was a pretty big part of our 3 peat teams (Lewis, Mitch, Lake, Hodge, Buddy, etc).

At his size, could it work against him in terms of longevity/availability?One of the most combative mids I've ever seen.
St KildaBergman getting 8-9 year deals at near a million a year? wtf is actually happening in the league, Bergman is nice but far out he isn’t that nice
I think we will give Serong and Frost the option to look for other opportunities. Scrim would be a big call - only 26 years old.Does anyone get the feeling one or two of our taller backs could be up for trade at seasons end? Serong, Frost if he doesn’t retire? I don’t like it but maybe even Scrim? He would have some value I think. Could help bring in a Harley?

He’d be the number 1 mid at the hawks but he’d be maybe second or even third at the doggies given their glut of midfield talent (behind Bont and Richards).Have heard recently that hawks are still quietly confident about a deal for butters, despite all the chat about butters and the dogs.
