That's quite naive. The repeated claims that Iraq had WMDs was clearly a conspiracy. It led to a US invasion and a regime change. In all the narrative around this latest conflict no-one now bothers to question how the US has bases in Iraq.

There is no reason to be optimistic about this.

They will use the excuse that they don't know whether they have yet killed off Iran's "nuclear weapons program" (for which no evidence has yet been produced for its existence) to launch another attack.

And you know what? They have just used the most powerful non-nuclear bombs (the GBU 57MOP). So the next logical escalation is a tactical nuclear weapon.

If we're so concerned about nuclear weapons, it's time for the Israelis to officially disclose if they have nuclear weapons
(we know they do), how many they have and allow inspections. They refused to be signatories to the NPT and we need to get to the bottom of why.

They should be where our attention should go to as they are the biggest nuclear threat.
