If he’s delisted, Williams will kick 100 goals a season in the lower leagues. As far as I recall he’s actually never been played forward at AFL level (perhaps his first game). I’d like to see him given a go up forward with Butters, JHF and Rozee delivering the ball

This new Williams kid seems pretty good. If you can kick 7 goals out of a team total of just 10 against the best team in the SANFL for many years, then you deserve some interest at the next level. I didn't get to see it but from the comments his forward craft, marking and kicking were better than anyone we played forward all year in the Maggies. If Soldo and Atkins can make the extended squad on the back of OK and bog average performances respectively, surely Williams deserves serious consideration next week. Pre-season he was supposed to have been a standout and his fitness, speed and agility was the best he'd ever had. He's been written off and no wonder he looked disinterested at times.
Hopefully this performance is not a flash in the pan and he can be the highly rated forward he was touted as being when he was drafted afterall.

I get your concerns but he isn't Robinson Crusoe in that regards. I'm for giving him a chance to prove himself as a Tim Membrey style forward. Dylan is only 2cm shorter and would at least match him for pace and chasing ability I think.

He might actually have a place in the side next year depending on the new game plan. Obviously can't play forward in the current one, as is a defensive liability.

Our club is like a Hoarder, they hold onto everything even if it’s worthless.
I love to throw away, if there is no use for it get rid of it.
Hopefully we have a clean out this year and don’t replace it with more rubbish.

maybe we are concentrating too much on his leg speed
he could be like Greg "Diesel" Williams who was twice rejected by Carlton as a youngster because he lacked natural leg speed. and there have been other players who haven't had the leg speed that did ok at VFL (AFL) level.
why not give him SPP spot for the rest of the year to see what he can do
at best he will kick about 10 goals in 6 games and drive up his trade value like was mentioned ... at worse the is delisted at the end of the year
