A half to go. No injuries. A good hit out. Over using the handballs in the wet. Need to get back to winning the clearances. Gunna be hard to win given the number of players being managed. Nevertheless, no reason we can’t play a lot better.
I’m surprised Kennedy got a game as he is inclined to turn it over far too much imo.
Steen is a project player who is doing well. It’ll take a couple of years for him to build up.
Awful conditions sadly.

DeMattia, McRae and Parker will never play consistent AFL footy when they constantly butcher the ball at this level, no surprise Steele has overtaken them already.

I think Parker is a level above the other two.

Re DeMattia, I think I know why he’s not getting a game (yet) - hard to recall any of his kicks or handballs actually going to a Pies player.

I don't understand the persistence with Steene. He is undersized in VFL as a ruckman, and would be brushed aside in the AFL.

Same size as Xerri and will also take time - lots of doubters about Xerri at the same age.

I've liked much of what Steene has done this game. But looks like he needs another season of playing in the VFL (mostly) before ready to play consistently at AFL level.
This might be why we need Cox for another year....if he agrees to do so...
