It seemed to me that when MacIntosh was moved out of the centre (and Ross was brought in), Daicos moved to half back then half forward. Seemed like a deliberate tactic to avoid the tag
Yze said the same thing. It would make it too hard to tag him when he dropped to half back as our forward line is too inexperienced. They wanted to keep it simple.

Daicos is insanely good. Was cleaner than everyone out there. Only Vlastuin near his level today.
He runs and works hard, finishes well in front of goal, but should allowed to have that much space.
He is soft (for want of a better word) and a panic merchant otherwise. Can't off load the ball quick enough when he senses a bit of contact coming.

Nick Pointlesspossessions will meet with some more advanced defensive systems in finals and be re-acquainted with the commodity he loathes most - pressure.

Daicos was the difference, he is a very good player and a pleasure to watch.

I’m confident TAJ will become a player like him.

Loving MRJ you can see oppo players are now worrying about his presence.

Proud of the boys.

Daicos a pleasure to watch for Tiger supporters. His zero tackles minimal pressure and wandering around looking for cheapies on his own was a principal reason we were able to stroll the ball from one of the ground to the other regularly and beat the line despite missing Lynch, Lalor, Ralphsmith, Dow, Taranto, McAuliffe, Campbell, Lefau from our likely best team and having several others unavailable. In fact we were down to almost zero selection choice, with just 2 fully fit and conditioned players missing out, both fringe key position players. Sonsie, Ross and Hopper were able to pick up possessions at will.

Richmond have failed to kick half their opponent's score 8 times this season. But when faced with a ladder leading team desperate for a big percentage booster to stave off the likes of Geelong for a top 2 berth, despite having so many players out and conditions not being ideal, we got plenty of action going back the other way on them because they think Nick Daycare getting 40 soft possessions is the most important thing for them right now.

Seriously, a pleasure to watch. At 3/4 time he had 30 possessions, 3 goals and 10 score involvements (half the teams score involvements). Didn't miss a kick all game. The reason he didn't tackle was because he had the ball all the time.

You sound so salty. Daicos is a freak and a pleasure to watch.
They had far more quality out of there best 22 than we did

He had a good game yesterday in terms of ball use and ball handling, no denying it. But him running around with zero defensive accountability(literally zero tackles and 10 pressure acts which is incredibly low for a mid) created the defensive vacuum that allowed our guys to transition the ball with ease. We went D50 to F50 more than they did. If not for our extremely inexperienced forward line lacking our 3 most effective 2025 forwards(Lynch, Lalor, Campbell) we might have given them a fright based on those transition numbers. If Daicos tries that against finals teams he will straight out lose them finals single handed.

daicos knows where to run and has high Iq added to this he rarely missed targets. our blokes waste opportunities daicos never does. ross, prestia, taratula and hopper couldnt carry his bags to training. dont tel me they are different players. that is the problem with our team we waste and turnover. it will take a couple of years to weed out these blokes. recuruit players with speed and skill, that is what I am after. and yes I love watching daicos.

8? Haha you’re kidding

I literally listed them.

If all players on our list were fully fit and conditioned right now, then Trezise, McIntosh, Green, Alger, Sims, Sonsie, Trainor and probably one of Faull/Young would not be in the team.

They would be replaced by Lynch, Lefau, Gibcus, Lalor, Campbell, McAuliffe, Taranto, Ralphsmith or if you prefer, one of Dow or Smillie.

You deny this?

You will love watching him lose Collingwood some finals then.

Yes you’re talking crap.
The young kids are the reason why have played an exciting brand.
Lefau, mcauliffe, Ralph are not best 22
Lynch is almost finished
Gibcus hasn’t played in 2 years.

So let me get this straight. Collingwood had more missing than us. Cos 33yo Lynch is almost finished, but 35 & 36yo Howe and Pendlebury are integral to Collingwood's team. And Gibcus is coming off an ACL so we don't count him but we do count Degoey who played like a drain in the very few games he played this year. Makes sense mate. 🤣

Assume all Richmond players are fully fit and conditioned to play. Name your Richmond best 22 from our list to win a game for your life.....

Then do the same process with Collingwood.

Then compare the lists of who was missing yesterday for both teams. Then repeat your statement Collingwood had more quality than us missing with a straight face.
