Most of those players played in some god awful teams in their first 30 games. Nick Watson in his debut season played finals flanked by Dylan Moore and Jack Ginnivan.

They seem to get the best out of recycled players.Cats apparently.
From premiership favourites to missing the finals after adding 2 million dollar per season defenders ??
Rebuilds are hard work …

I had my doubts about him last year. But he's improved a lot. He and Meek were pretty evenly matched.O'Brien kept the Crows in it in the first quarter.
Needs more love.
A terrific player.
Just tried to think of some good current small forwards. Got other recommendations? I mean Watson has had 90 shots and 22 assists in his first 36 games. He does lots of little things to impact outside scoring too. Do you think he's a bust?
Yep. It is consistent with what they've been paying now but it has to change. It should be ball up in that case.I maintain that the one hand free holding the ball interpretation is pure bullshit.
Crows a good win. Pretty lost in the 3rd though, look disorganised, but finished over the top, skills baby.
Hawks will keep improving. I keep thinking, their resilience is their big weapon, they'll beat a top side or two if they aren't on their game.
You were gifted 4 goals from ****ing Stevic from frees that he blatantly created out of thin air. Don’t even suggest that the umpiring was the same both ways. At one stage I was strongly considering jumping the fence and beelining to him to punch him out. He’s just a plain ****ing cheat and the VFL continue to let him get away with it.I actually thought the umpiring was quite consistently shit for both teams.
Which is a step in the right direction.
I still give us a chance next week Pies have atough game v Brisbane tomorrow & a 5 day break after a 6 day break last week. They'll go either 14-9 or 15-8, depending if the Lions bounce back from the Suns loss.
Hawthorn totally lost in the 2nd and 4th as well. The northern end was the scoring end tonight. It was a bizarre game of 4 completely different quarters where each side went to sleep alternatively. Just a massive thank **** we beat those pricks. I hate them.

Crows are always hard done by mate don’t even bother with it.Which frees weren't there?
You can't just grab a player by the wrist/around the waist and expect it to go unnoticed.
The HTB with the one arm pinned was adjudicated the same way for both sides. I don't like the interpretation but at least it was consistent.
Again, the 50/50 calls went your way which happen to be multiple shots on goal. You also missed the "arm chop" by Worrell which end up a goal. Apparently, that's how Stevic umpires. It too often for it to be now a coincident, I used to be a non believer as I've heard other posters mention this, you should also be a believer like me. Also, there was an identical encroaching the mark which was paid to the Hawks and you had a shot on goal but not to Fogarty who would have had a shot on goal.Which frees weren't there?

Unfortunately the umpires are inconsistent and bad with every team, the whole umpiring system needs an overall.Which frees weren't there?

What? Worrell didn't drag Ginnivan's arm down lol. Like I said, the important 50/50 call went the Hawks way and a lot of them were shot on goal.Re: The Arm chop that happens every game. Hardwick got called for an arm chop on Rankine which I thought was a pretty clean spoil that faded late after the ball was dislodged. Shit happens.
At the end of the day, the free kick count was pretty even with a slight favouring to the Crows. I thought the shit calls were consistently poor for both teams.
If both teams have legitimate gripes about the umpiring it's probably a fair indicator that it was reasonably umpired (at least in terms of consistency, not so much on quality).
