Guess you've never been to a match in Melbourne. People don't yell "BALL!" the moment a player is tackled without prior. They don't start yelling for 50 when there was neither anything done to merit it, nor the umpires' body language indicating they're going to pay it. And, most importantly, they don't jeer apparently injured players going off. The attacks on Will Day last night were a disgusting example of why nobody likes your ugly football culture.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhaahahahahahhahahaa
No, no melbourne crowds yell ball, ever.

I'll take things that didnt happen for $200.

Haha!

YES THEY DO!

Nash got legged two seconds before the goal before that and it wasn’t paid. There were more toward Adelaide. Overall a terrible officiating game. The difference wasn’t that umps as bad as they were, it was the composure. Hawthorn had their chances and couldn’t kick them. Had a handful of chances late especially which would’ve put them ahead and well ahead.
Pickett got legged in the goal square when we played you.

The amount of shit that gets ignored when you’re playing at the G should be enough for you to not mouth off when it goes the other way.

Your supporters are the biggest bunch of sooks in it.

Watching the replay on Fox now and noticed umpire Stevic repeatedly spitting on his hands before bouncing the ball the dirty campaigner, who knows what disease that filthy Maggot is carrying

I don't think they were more towards Adelaide. The umpires made plenty of mistakes both ways. People just complain more about the mistakes towards us

Was that before or after Milera received a hand to the face and got called HTB which allow another inside 50??? The chances would have level the score if they had been goal instead of point so I'm not sure what you meant by "well ahead". We had more scoring shot in the end and also played off a 6 days break in massive wet deck and you guys getting 3 goals directly from 50/50 calls.

Just a note about the Rankine incident. Let's presume the ump called ;play on'. That would leave Rankine free with Sicily 2 metres away.

Doubt that Rankine would have the talent to manufacture a goal from that, would need a special level of skill :)

OTOH, bringing a free kick back after a player plays on and kicks a point is very dodgy. And if excused by saying the umpire didn't call advantage, then there's no argument for the Rankine decision, is there?

Or simply they are both poor errors by the umpires

Footy is really hard to umpire. There will always be a couple incorrect calls in a game of football. I think the ones that were incorrect last night were all justifiable as to how the umpire made those calls.

Last night was a great game of footy between two quality sides. It had everything, momentum swings, high scoring, close finish, great atmosphere. If people can’t just enjoy that and accept that umpire errors are a part of sport, particularly a sport that is as chaotic and at times confusing as ours then maybe footy isn’t for them.
It's a mix of overregulation, bad rules, ego, inconsistent enforcement of rules and bad culture. It's always funny how umpires give coaching advice, when they're suppose to be rule enforcers only. I don't understand how criticism of the umpires in general means to you that a person hates the sport. I think you're deflecting. The Crows have gotten stiffed by umpires in matches, I don't like that, either, that's my point, I don't like seeing teams getting screwed over by bad rules or inconsistent frees. Like, I couldn't enjoy that St Kilda win against Melbourne because the umpires essentially handed them the victory with that terrible 666 rule they don't even penalize 99% of the time.

Remindrr that to be legged the tackle has to go below the knees, not just below the hips.

literally gifted you the win against us when Hardwick reached out to trip Pickett running into an open goal in the worst decision for a decade. That's how. Hawks are generally very well looked after.
Lol that happened in the 2nd quarter in a game we won by 6 goals

Umps were a 6 goal advantage for you that today. The game was close until very late so the corrupt decisions shaped the game big time. Thankfully the corrupt ump got dropped to the vfl and we got an apology from the afl for the blatant cheating.

One of the worst non-calls i’ve seen.

Now, explain the application of cognitive dissonance in your example.

in the match day thread on your thread there was no discussion about the umpiring shaping the match but there's talks about the Sicily decision which wasn't even that bad. that's the cognitive dissonance.
😂😂
Yeah that’s what I thought. Maybe ask mrs/mr danster to pick you up a dictionary for christmas.
