Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

How about we actually address needs that we desperately need but have neglected over the years. Adding good small forwards, adding some pace, good ball users and modern game plan. Players that actually compliment Crippa, Charlie etc instead of just removing the quality we have.

But I look forward to next year if many on here get their wish of our quality players leaving, the complaints of lack forward targets, the need for a quality key defender to help Weiters, the experience and quality in midfield.

Make the right changes, bring the right players in and things can change very quickly and Crippa and Charlie can be part of our next premiership side. Look at Adelaide, Hawthorn and Gold Coast.
For a start lets get Walsh (12 games) & Curnow fit and McKay (9) & E Hollands (5) in the right headspace. Personally I think Cottrell (6) and Kemp (5) would improve our best 22 as well.

Then hopefully we can get Newman and Smith back from knee injuries.

Let's assume JSOS and TDK are gone and we get a top 10 pick and an end of first rounder - I would look to trade them both (and possibly next years first) for something that ensures we get Dean & Walker (2026) for the lowest possible and then target some outside speed/wingmen (I would hope for 2 players) with elite footskills (I would also offer a future second rounder to the Pies for Houston just for laughs).

That isn't a lot of trading to get significant change to our side

Really? Ross is about to reap the benefits of a nice young list he's helped build, he's looking very comfortable. Since when is he prepping to leave?
Arguably he didn’t build shit. In fact the list has got worse under him. And he’s about to lose a generational player in a poor draft year.

JSOS is unrestricted so we would get nothing wouldn’t we?

Even ignoring the ethical part, it would show he's a poor manager.

How hands on is he with the businesses? If he's an Assistant Coach for an AFL club, then I guess he's not.

He would've funded it and been a director on the paperwork - of course it doesn't absolve him of any responsibilities but every chance he put all his faith in his business partner. This happens to former AFL players all the time because - well, they're naive as **** on how the real world operates.

Maybe if we get Enright on as coach we can get George Calombaris to cook up a good list.... or the books.

Businesses are in administration, so there will be a drawn out process.

While obviously you should pay your employees and vendors, Enright is not the sole owner and responsibility is shared with his partners.

I agree that more than a few athletes get screwed by fake friends post career with dodgy business dealings.

They have money and little experience in business, so are likely targets

Reckon the Club won’t panic
Voss has probably known his fate for a while
Plan is in place
Before the last game of the year, it’ll probably be released that it ll be Voss’s last
We’ll take it from there
We will more than likely sack Voss.

We need to prove ourselves to coaches of the league, we need to be on our best behavior.

What we do and how we go about it will be in a way that is the most respectful to Michael Voss.

There is no value sacking him before the season ends and doing the wrong thing by Voss for us in the long run. Let Melbourne make this mistake. We will let him coach out the season, we will let him go with dignaty and will will appoint our new coach soon after, this is what I believe we will do.

I think we will do it right and hire someone good. We need to keep the better players of our list together, get a new coach in and recruit well.

Sort out the list direction and game plan issues and start to turn things around.

Always fun times when two ITK’s come out with differing rumours about the same player (one saying that the player is leaving and the other saying that the player is staying) and both posts receive like and love reactions from the exact same people.

I like/love reactions on all ITK rumour posts I come across. To show me gratitude for them sharing info, even if it is conflicting.
