likewise Housten - he makes more mistakes than our defenders....and we were happy to give away a top 3 pick for him.

Sometimes we get dumb luck on our side...
If Houston came at least Daniel wouldn’t have

Both ways we ended up losing a future first

Probs get Houston with a future first and take a Whitlock with pick 25

Vs daniel and Whitlock for 25 and future first for future second

It's horrendous. But we can't just bring in young draftees and not complement that with some more mature players.
But we're probably better giving some state league players a chance in some respect.
Spot on.. Not sure if Michael Barlow and Brady Rawlings have ever been introduced to each other, but Riley Bice would have been handy

"In a roundabout way" meaning he didn't cost a first rounders..

**** me you love a spud don't ya.
If we don’t do the Daniel trade we don’t spend a future first on Whitlock we just use pick 25

Houston and a Whitlock (with pick 25) vs Daniel, Whitlock and a future second

Can’t wrap my head around Houston’s drop off. Prior to this year he was one of the consistently damaging half backs in the comp.

Just goes to show that certain players are suited to certain game plans or playing styles.

Similar to Gunston not firing a shot at Brisbane.
Exactly. So maybe it's NOT Caleb Daniel's fault he finds himself one out against an opponent 20m out directly in front. Maybe our system has something to do with it...

I don't think we'll bring in many this year. It's a weak draft and our list is already over capacity. A couple of kids at the draft and maybe a state league type or a fringe player from another club and that will be it.
Agree. It'll be a couple of mature players and 2-3 draftees. Most of the rookies will get another 12 months I think.

**** me how many times do you need to be told that isn't correct!!
Are you acoustic? And yes that’s slang

At pick 25 we could have taken a Whitlock whether it be Matt if he lasted or otherwise jack
Or even Shanahan who all went later

Give me Houston and either Whitlock over Daniel, Matt Whitlock and a future second

Yeah because any tall player picked around that range of the draft is exactly the same 🙄🙄🙄.

Get over it bro.

Must have missed the bit where Houston wanted to come to us. Reasonably important.
Also true in which I’d say I’d rather still have pick 25 (or the future first if we didn’t end up trading it for something we could have gotten at pick 25) than have Daniel on the list
