Bowes is our ultimate barometer
Not sure why but when he's playing well we're winning games
What I prefer is a guy you can play anywhere. Bowes is so versatile. He can also kick goals out of a stoppage, that’s extremely valuable.

I like Bews, however, they aren’t the same player. Humphries has taken Bews’ role.

While it ultimately doesn't matter and probably even more so in a fortnight's time, I was quite disappointed with the second half. Cue in the rack no doubt, but I would have liked us to finish the game out in a better than we did. I guess with the game killed and nothing to play for you can understand there was an element of preservation going on knowing what potentially lies ahead.

Still it was frustrating as a fan, even if it was job done by HT and really, beating Richmond by 80 or 40,will make no difference to our opponent come the QF.

Tigers fans aren't happy the Cats didn't stick around to see off Kamdyn McIntosh.

Yet they only got 46k there yesterday - where were the rest of their 100k membership base to see off a stalwart of their club?

If their own fans couldn't bother rocking up, why should the Geelong players stick around?

So... I'm guessing there was no MRO action from yesterday's game?
Not seen anything, so still unsure

Seen the updates. Stewart free to play and there was much rejoicing

The club is not serious enough. Joke of a club

Zach Tuohys comments summed it up.

Once we couldn't get top spot, and the win was secured, there was only 2 things to worry about.

Don't get injured and don't get suspended.

Everything else was irrelevant.

We have a longer break than Bris Vegas to freshen up. We have the best injury list in the year.

When we win the flag, no one is going to think "yeah its great but its a real shame we didn't beat Richmond by 80+ in the last game of the season."

46k is honestly pretty decent for a team that has been shit for the last two years, and is playing out a dead rubber that they had zero realistic chance of winning.

I don't want to think about our attendances if we do eventually bottom right out.

Just watch some people use that Richmond second half as "evidence" if Brisbane beat us (as they have the last 3 times) in the QF. It will have had no impact whether we win or lose by 100 points in 2 week's time.

If we smash Brisbane then surely its because we took it easy on Richmond for a half then, correct?

Quite a few cats fans in that 46k
20k at least

But I agree with your point

I'm now reading from some Geelong fans on socials that we screwed up not waiting around & that it at poor from the club 🤦‍♀️

Sorry, but he's not retiring, the guy is being delisted & hopeful of finding a new club -just imagine lining up to form a guard of honour & then lining up against the guy in round 6 next season when we face the Eagles

Taking foot off gas for a dead rubber honestly has zero correlation for when the finals series starts. Dogs 2016 the A1 example
100%
I wonder how we will prepare for the QF recognising we have had a relatively easy ride over the last 6 weeks?
Whatever it is I'll back the coaches to have worked on this and have strategies in place to address it.

Huge opportunity in front of us - a QF win and we're only 2 away from another Cup
