Kye Fincher.

Was close to BoG for Sandringham in the VFL in round 21. His first/only VFL game for the year.
Can't say that I've heard of him

Been a bit of kerfuffle around him after Basset sooked last year about academies and a year later look to potentially have a top 10 pick come from their own.
Wasn't that the whole point? They wanted protected access to their own akin to a Northern academy and less an NGA?

Very small sample size but I didn’t mind Tunstill when he came on. Pressure situation and took a nice intercept mark and hit the right kicks.

Still OOC I believe and about to go down the depth chart again
Tunstill looked very composed with good skills.
We could do worse than ask for Tunstill or ZZ as part of the OA trade.
Being on the edge of a premiership best 23 with their list is exactly the players we should be targeting with late picks imo.

This is what we need to solve. The ease at which teams clear the ball out.

To be fair the Swans probably have the best centre square set up in the league with Grundy, Heeeny, Warner and Gulden. I saw lots of Clay Hall, McCarthy, Hewett in there, with the senior players, being players that probably wouldn't get a game for Sydney in Kelly and Graham. I'm not even going to mention who we have in the ruck.

If you read my previous posts about doing a Ryan trade with the saints, I agree with you.

The point is, Ryan is contracted and if they want him on a four yr deal they're going to have to give up a player for him. We don't need picks

Now if that means the player is worth more than Ryan then we give up some extra.

Ryan and Hawks 2nd for Wilson.
Exactly, we don't need picks we need best 22 players and if STK want contracted Ryan then give up a player of equal value like Wilson or we can add a bit to get the right player.
Marshall, Windhager, Wilson would be the starting point or no deal.
We could pay overs in $$ to get the required target we want, just like STK are for Ryan.

Ryan plus 12 for 7 looks way unders for me. Would need some downstream swapsies in our favour to make Liam Ryan only worth a 5 pick upgrade.

According to the point value, that would only value Liam Ryan as a pick 33. No thanks
Disagree, Liam Ryan is 29 with an injury history. Most of the elite talent is in the top 10, with even 11-20 becoming more speculative and more about solid role players than stars, which is why the points calculator probably doesn't do the trade justice. I reckon if we could turn 14 and Ryan into 8, we'd be on a winner.

Nah man.
Maybe if he was out of contact and we had a weaker position, sure. Not with having a year left on his deal.

He may choose St Kilda, but we for once actually hold the power with a contracted player. We could get more elsewhere.

If it was like pick 8 to 3 maybe I'd get it, but not 12 to 7. Not in a million years.

Shit trade.

I also thought 14 for Baker was a shit trade. He's only a year younger than Ryan is now.

Years gone by I may have agreed with you. But I think if saints offer 7 for 12 and Ryan we will bite their hand off.

Compare that to how Nicnat used to win the tap, and yet our spud midfield would be first reciever and instantly get clamped by the oppositon who'd force a turnover and win the clearance anyway.

^ Whatever they used to do vs Nicnat here is how we need to start setting up. Basically plan on Flynn/Williams losing the hitouts and us being on the backfoot, which basically happens most CBD's.

can we start talking about who will be delisted by the eagles? I haven't heard much on this issue. Who are the possible and probables?

Ryan Burton not being offered a contract by Port.

Few injury issues, but can kick (which would be nice) and could certainly play a role for us at his best.

Worth a look as a DFA?

Gov & Sheed.

Excluding Livo and Barnett, that's 8 already but only leaves 6 list spots due to McCarthy and Newton.
Not a good time to be out of contract. Livingstone is at risk and then we have contracted players, which not many in the past have been paid out.

The problem is we have a set of spud ruckmen and a spud midfield that makes our previous spud midfield look like 2006.

Could set them up in an aquarium for all the good it would do, this lot ain't sharking anything.

I'd be happy to have him for virtually peanuts, but I doubt he'd want to come here.
