Collingwood have been lording it over both Essendon and Carlton in recent years no doubt about it. I still think they'll still be stuck with us on 16 flags at the the end of the season though.

Curnow is a genius. Jump off the sinking ship early because they can’t let everyone go. Poor Cripps would be coming to the realisation he’ll never play in a flag now.
And they're not worried about 2026 anyway.
They have their eyes set on peaking in 2030, when Cripps is retired, Weitering and McKay are 32, and Walsh is 30...

It's a real worry that your team is good enough to secure yet another top 4 finish, and with that comes the risk of being eliminated in straight sets (despite that result having never occurred for Collingwood on the 10 previous occasions they've finished top 4 since the Bloosers last did so).
Oh boy. But I guess that's the natural reaction from a Blooser - 'We've finished top 4, so the likely result for us now is a straight sets exit'...

Losing is so ingrained in the Blooser psyche that they look at the top 4 teams and instead of thinking 'Most of the teams who will contend for the premiership come from this group', their first thoughts are 'I wonder how many of these teams will go out in straight sets?'
