AFLW 2025 - AFLW Trade and Draft - All the player moves
Due to a number of factors, support for the current BigFooty mobile app has been discontinued. Your BigFooty login will no longer work on the Tapatalk or the BigFooty App - which is based on Tapatalk.
Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Not if involved another player. remember it was the players who banned Lij not the club
Then you do know. You picked one word out I said and made it something it’s not.I don’t actually?
Someone is going to have to cough up a gun for us to trade Charlie. And I can’t see clubs being happy to do that for picks in a compromised and weak draft.
We're not having a firesale, start telling your Google app to give you different news.
Last year was the year to do that, not now.

I’m over the Charlie back and forth and I understand that lots of players under contract get traded but I had a look at out of contract options and it’s pretty bare but some possible cheap options.
Ah Chee: replace Hollands
Fin McRae: needs opportunity
Laverde (UFA) replace SOS and Gov
Delean:
Erasmus, highly rated junior
Ladhams, is he an upgrade on Pitt?
Chesser, has been playing well
Cole, free agent.
That’s the problem. We will lose more than we gain.None of these guys are improving us one bit.
The only way l see it happening is if Warner was involved in a trade to West Coast and Curnow was part of a three way trade, but believe that is low probability. No idea, but I’m sure it will get done. It still can get easily done without those top 4 players. Most likely a multi team trade
And we are getting worse over the off-season in comparison to most of the rest of the league who will be improving at a higher rate than us.That’s the problem. We will lose more than we gain.
Put Weightman back in the Dogd side and they definately make finals. They played Mc NEIL who wouldn’t get in OUR forward line!I wonder if the emergence of West and possible need to spend big on a defender might make a Cody Weightman discussion possible.
He has had a serious knee injury...

I think it’s a godsend…most don’t realise it.Kemp, Moir, and potentially Khamis say hi... Oh, and Frank the Tank and Flynn Young are in the background waving. Williams has also proven to be a good option forward. Then we have Cotts coming back and Motts who will rotate through the middle of the ground with Moir and Williams.
Losing Lij isn't quite the problem that people think.
Don't know that Port want or need McDonald, but they are at least one early first round pick short in this scenario. If Butters as a pre agent is going to leave Port at the end of next season maybe they could maximise his value by this
Carlton - Lose Charlie Gain Zac Butters
Swans - Lose Logan McDonald& Pick 9 - Gain Charlie
Port - Gain Logan McDonald & Pick 9 - Lose Zac Butters
Close?

Lij is talented as hell but he has an issue. He's slightly immature and needs to grow up. He's a young guy, like all of them, who was handed buku money before he was ready for it. The other issue is that he was taken away from his support base of his family. So, he did what every kid does when he's away from home and has a huge wedge of cash in his pocket, he went nuts. And unfortunately, what's when the issue started.I think it’s a godsend…most don’t realise it.
Pretty good attempt but I think unders for Zac Butters. Also, do Port need another KPF? Georgiades, Marshall and Lord are all capableIf Butters as a pre agent is going to leave Port at the end of next season maybe they could maximise his value by this

You are right about oversupply of inside mids but Butters is a special talent that spreads from the contest as good as anyone and is a great user of the ball. Would be a POD compared to our current midsFinessing this deal seems like the best ive seen so far. Some issues with it but Carlton would definitely accept Butters, and make the same mistake they have been making for years in trading for another 'eventual' inside mid (Butters = Neale) of which they are over supplied with.
Carlton need to spread their dollars to some outside types or they are ****ed into eternity.
Mine is literally alerting me with clickbait articles on the same 4 bits of Carlton news twice a day... apparently drama trends.Wow!
How so, if Butters is likely to move back to Victoria as a free agent next year they are either accept a first rounder or have to match an offer from wherever Butters is going of around $2 mill to match and force a trade and probably wouldn't have the space to do so.Don't know that Port want or need McDonald, but they are at least one early first round pick short in this scenario.
Port would ask and receive a kings ransom, particularly where 25 picks are concerned. How so, if Butters is likely to move back to Victoria as a free agent next year they are either accept a first rounder or have to match an offer from wherever Butters is going of around $2 mill to match and force a trade and probably wouldn't have the space to do so.
McDonald along with Georgiadis would be the basis of a strong forward line. If Port didn't want McDonald they could have Sydneys pick 9 this year but they could also have the Swans future 1st.
I'm gonna get booted from the board for saying this due to how blasphemous is it, however...
I think losing Charlie and adding Flanders makes us a better team.
No idea about the logistics on how we'd get that done and not suggesting we push Charlie out the door, but we've looked better with one key forward rather than two, and Flanders when played as a full time mid is actually crazy, finds the footy and is damaging with it, also kicks goals from the midfield which is something we haven't had for YEARS. He's an absolute gun and super, super underrated IMO.
Port have the money to pay Butters. They’ll match a bid next year, so the trade offer would have to be compelling for them to trade him this year (like similarly compelling as what we would need to trade Curnow). How so, if Butters is likely to move back to Victoria as a free agent next year they are either accept a first rounder or have to match an offer from wherever Butters is going of around $2 mill to match and force a trade and probably wouldn't have the space to do so.
