Do you know what "that subject" being taught actually looks like? What is actually taught? Or do you just believe the SkyNews "safe schools BAD reeeee" panic?

Because the actual information taught to students is totally benign and mundane. There's absolutely nothing sexual or deviant about it.
Ahh yes the men can get pregnant and breast feed. And if you question this you are a bigot.
I've been to plenty of drag storytimes. They're good fun. And totally innocent.
This doesn't surprise me at all. Bit of sexualised dancing from a man in a thong in front of 4 year olds......all good fun...nothing wrong with that at all ahh Chad.

When are they allowed to start taking hormones? I have a close friend who’s daughter went through a phase at about 12-14 that she wanted to be male, my friends were supportive but didn’t want her to take hormones that would be irreversible, she’s now 17 and identifies as female again and is into boys.

Year 1? How olds that? 6/7? That’s pretty young to be making decisions that will shape the rest of your life.

See my most recent post.

TLDR if a young person is trying to get hormone/similar gender affirming medications under the age of 18 without parental consent, there's a pathway to doing that once they turn 16 and can demonstrate Gillick Competency, but that's an involved process.

Doesn't surprise me at all that you find drag inherently sexual.

Says a lot about you, actually.

Hmmmmmm.

You forgot to mention that subject being brought up in primary school classes all over the nation. Trans people doing dances (some of which risqué) and story telling at Kindergartens?

This sorta shit makes the news with angry parents not approving. Deny it

But this is your normal right? Your baseline.

Here's mine -

If my kid tells me....Dad I'm a girl, I know I'm only 10 and don't have the maturity to think and make such decisions for myself but I'm a girl and I want surgery and meds.

This would be my response -

With less than 1 percent of people in Australia identifying as trans i think your outrage is somewhat overblown, compare that with say women who are victims of domestic violance,

Lifetime Prevalence (Since Age 15)

From the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Personal Safety Survey (2021–22):

  • 27% of women(about 2.7 million) have experienced violence, emotional abuse, or economic abuse by a cohabiting partner since age 15. Of these:

These figures reflect the proportion of all women aged 18 and over.

So practically speaking you would probably be doing your daughter a greater justice by educating her on signs of abuse rather than the threat of someone reading a story or dancing in a controlled environment?

A man in a dress is somehow sexualised to you?

There were no "thongs" or anything sexual at any of the events I've been to. Nor have I heard any stories about such things happening anywhere in Australia.

All I've witnessed was a person in a wig and makeup that was great with kids and who my daughters found hilarious.

This is one of the drag queens we've been to events with - tell me what's sexual about this outfit to you?

It’s such a big choice for a child to make and there’s no 100% come back if it was just a phase.

i was going to rebut this post as well however i really didn't want that element of the current discussion railroading my major gripe of poor governance...

then again it is the random thread.....
I'll happily have a respectful friendly chat about it in PMs if you want.

He dresses his kids up and takes his Jewish kids to pro-caliphate marches all the while, whilst ensuring they are vegan.

It's effectively child abuse.

Stop playing the victim. You've repeatedly called me a nazi or nazi sympathiser despite you knowing I'm Jewish.
I'm not playing the victim, I'm pointing out you have no credibility to comment on this and telling you to **** off.

So why is there a push to have this topic in Kindergartens and schools?
like i said is it such a big deal? and realistically if you have such an issue with it simply politely inform the school or kinder that you dont approve of your child participating. worked for me regarding religious instruction that was in the state school system in the 80s.

Are you eyes painted on....I posted sexual or not.

Nothing about that picture is sexual but it still is not appropriate to have in front of 4 year olds.

A 4 year old is barely off the tit...the brain is still growing and developing. It's too complex of a subject to explain to a vulnerable little child that doesn't understand why a grown man is in a dress with make up on.

this doesn't do your argument a lot of merit, it simply reinforces that the child will merely see it as a form of entertainment. no different to a clown at a circus really.
