He gave up first preference on the stop specifically on the promise that they wouldn't allow an undercut.

Funny how everybody is ignoring that part
It wasn’t an undercut? It was a slow stop.

What if he stalled it? What if he crashed into the pits?

Nothing to do with the Undercut, and the order of stops didn’t matter.

He was 1.7 sec ahead - that’s far more than any undercut today in a single lap lol

Did he ?

Looked like the front left guy screwed up, im not sure position was the cause ?

Position looked ok the guy seemed to forget to re tighten because the other guy was grabbing his arm to ask him to do it.

Normally I hate Max but I loved his radio response 'ha just because he had a slow stop'. For once hes right classic answer. Max wouldn't be swapping places for anybody.
Either would Schumacher or Senna.

Since you made stuff up I thought I'd follow suit, lando chose to pit 2nd to have fresher tires it had nothing at all to do with protecting Oscar from the undercut.

A bad stop is a bad stop, we going to ask them to give position back if a driver gets a lucky safety car?

Huh?
He was asked to go
He said he would do it as long as no undercut, then Oscar goes in first anyway.
Watch the video.

and before that he was gaining on him by around 0.2 seconds a lap too

Baku has a lot of slower corners around the back half, but yeh that long straight will make for an interesting complexity

And look, it’s one RB that’s doing anything. Be interesting to know what Yuki is thinking right now about his future

Yuki is probably thinking he should have turned down the promotion and stayed in the RB. That said i think they will keep him for 2026 as a)mekies is a fan and a stability type guy and b) the car is clearly not great and until they know whether it will be better or worse under the new regs there's no point looking for another driver (most top line drivers wont want to go there until 12 months when they see how the new car goes anyway).

It wasn’t an undercut. It was a shit pit stop.

Tough t***ies.

Well yeah because the undercut from Piastri wouldn’t have happened if they hadn’t have borked Norris’ stop.

They promised him something and then made Oscar pay for it when they ****ed up a routine process.

Yeah, really worrying about Leclerc there….

Hope McLaren keep doubling down on the lie and getting caught out with that narrative

lol Crofty as the Tifosi are booing NOR “I think those are cheers?” 😂😂

It’s quite clearly Boos Crofty, you buffoon.

They really are on another planet when it comes to Norris.

Not to make this about Trump, but it’s exactly the sort of thing his propagandists do.
As if, by even the slightest statement against him is treachery.
Like I get they want Norris to win. But it’s outright lying.

I can understand when Freo get a lucky free kick, or are lucky to avoid giving one up.
You can acknowledge a point without giving up your fandom.

On a positive note, I'm pretty sure McLaren can cement the constructors' title in Baku. That means they should be free to race their own races after that.

Are you really that thick that you can’t discern between an undercut under normal racing conditions and a poor pit stop? The order in which they pitted one lap apart made zero difference in this instance.
