good to see the acknowledgement. but the stuff-up adversely affected oscar way more than norris.
Think he's made this comment because Lando was affected, mainly. It's such an enormous strategic blunder. Not really much else you can say when you manage to screw both of your drivers in one go (albeit, far more for Oscar than Lando).
Yeah i guess, but realistically is there a better option for him out there?
Red Bull: We complain about favoritism now, Piastri on Red Bull would be the current situation on steroids. Max hasnt had a proper competitor as number 2 driver since Ricciardo. Helmut Marko is much worse than Zak Brown. Max would tell Piastri get ****ed every second race
Mercedes: Kimi and George are locked in there, dont see that changing. Think George WDC push comes next year
Ferrari: Pass. Disasterclass
Williams: Maybe.. but I still think they're a ways off consistently challenging for podiums, let alone race wins
Aston: Stroll isnt getting replaced, Alonso could maybe but they havent shown much either. Bit like Williams
Like it or not, he's not getting a better shot at wins or titles anywhere else.
not so sure about that. while he's clearly in norris's corner generally speaking, on this occasion, i do think he recognises oscar was the one most adversely affected.Think he's made this comment because Lando was affected, mainly. It's such an enormous strategic blunder.
āI wonder how far up Zakās ass I can shove this trophy?āOscar's post-race Insta post says it all - no caption just a picture. So I'll add my own..

A free pit stop that did not cost them anything except their golden boy Lando losing the title, and that is exactly why it happened.Given that it's almost impossible for Oscar now, I genuinely hope Max wins the title. McLaren can go home and cry into their Constructors Championship.
Just staggeringly dumb from them, there were mandatory pit-stops, on a wide open track where safety car incidents are less prevalent.
Ineptitude personified.

That's a stretch.Ferarri ****ing loving this drama.
I think a small part of it would have been McLaren being worried that their pit-stops have been extremely hit and miss this year... There was theoretically plenty of time for a double stackThey could have easily double stacked and still come out of the stop 1-2. It was nothing more than McLaren being a bunch of dumb campaigners.
That's a stretch.
Ferrari would give anything to have multiple major strategy stuff ups and yet having sown up the constructors' championship and both of their driver's a chance of winning the championship with just one race remaining.
Trouble for McLaren is that they have a team principal who doesn't know how to manage two evenly matched championship winning capable drivers and has come up with a BS strategy called 'Papaya Rules' which was never going to stand up to scrutiny when push came to shove in such a competitive sport.
They only dithered over signing George cause Max's future was uncertain amid all the drama with Horner etc....I dont think Mercedes are locked in or they wouldn't have spent all year dithering over signing George. But Webber needs to wait until the new regs next year to see who is the best winning car to move Oscar to.
