Port Adelaide senior coach Josh Carr said he was thrilled to secure Webster's services.

"I know Luke really well from our time together at Fremantle and he's an outstanding person and coach," Carr said.
"His character is first-class – he's someone who builds genuine relationships with players and has an outstanding reputation as an assistant coach across multiple areas of the game.

Id certainly prefer an outstanding person and coach thats also has a good character than an outstanding person and coach that doesn't have a good character.

He was development coach of the Eagles 2015-2019 when they were one of the main premiership threats, and took the inaugural WAFL Eagles side to a winning EF.

Was forwards coach of one of the best forward lines in the league for a few years there in 2020-23, although the personnel would have had a fair bit to do with that too
