My main observation from the last few hours of monitoring US social media is that Democrats are universally denouncing political violence and calling for calm while MAGA are escalating language and openly lusting for retribution against broad categories of people they identity as their enemies.

Maybe the shooter was hardcore lib, but the whole thing stinks of a plot to me, guy who they arrested claiming he did it but he actually didnt and the shooter is still at large. Maybe it was a government job to distract from so many things going on, maybe he was a sacrificial lamb and now an excuse to lean even more heavier into fascism and a police state.

Agreed. Trump & co will only use it as an excuse to rip further democratic rights away from the people of the US.

Kirk was a piece of shizen, he had no compassion or empathy for others and was in it for the grift and power. That his death is going to probably be used for the 'cause' to inflict more pain on others is sad.
