Frawley for Jamar

Meesen goes to the bench

Moloney to the bench
Miller to CHF
Frawley to HB
Rivers to CHB
Or possibly Yze to replace Miller, Bate to CHF and Yze on the HFF

I may be talking crap but that's the best I could come up with off the top of my head

OH and Juice has to be in there too...How silly of me, goodbye Miller. In that case, Newton to replace Miller at CHF, leave Yze on the bench and leave Bate on the HFF

Agree with that side, with a couple of exceptions. Blake isn't going anywhere so count him out from our side. Meesen is a getable player so included him. Petterd looked better than Buckley IMO. Dunns form warrents starting 18 selection ahead of Bartram, purely because of his lack of game time. Apart from that, looks formidable.

Still wish the addition of Judd was at the expense of nothing. sigh

Meesen is good but he has only played 1 or 2 games in 3 seasons so i think that tells ya how good he really is!
Best bet now knowing Blake is not comming is play White at CHF and have P.Johnson and Jamar swapping at ruck and on the bench!

This is just off the top of my head so I may forget a couple (very tired atm)

This team is assuming that my dream comes true and we do get Judd in a 3 way trade with St.Kilda where we give up Frawley and our top picks.

I'm happy with that forward line setup. It has two big key forwards, 3 mediums and a crumber in Davey (Robertson is also a good crumber). It should provide good versitility and Dunn can play forward as well.

The backline, as you can see, still has some major height issues. Rivers needs to play the full season and Carroll has some good games. It would be disappointing to see Frawley go as we could have groomed him into a FB but maybe Garland can do that at some point? Fergeson is still in the running and Dunn could maybe even play in defence. The run out of defence is impressive though with Bell, Whelan, Bruce and Johnstone. Our HB line is probably our second best line in the team (after the followers).

****, what a midfield!

McLean, Judd, Johnstone (if not on back flank) and Jones will tear it up. Bruce, McDonald, Dunn, Moloney and Green maybe more than handy second string midfielders and Dunn and Green have some a lot of recent improvement.

Nor Yze. Although it is debatable whether or not he is in our best 22, I think he can still be a handy addition on the bench.

The other one missing is Wheatley. I would have him in the backline purely for his kick ins.

Hope I didn't forget anyone!

The backline is an interesting one - I think people DO forget how important Bartram was for us back in 06. He can combine with Bell and Whelan to form our small back contingent. Rivers is a no brainer, as is Carroll, while I think Ferguson gives us everything Holland can and more, only minus the strength. Frawley is stiff to miss but he still needs time and with a full list to choose from it's hard to see him getting a game.

Midfield is straight forward. Don't think there is any problem there.

I'll get in trouble for not including Newton in the forward line but how can we fit him in? The big one is Yze and while I have bagged him a hell of a lot in the past, I still think he can play a vital role for us in a forward pocket. He is as soft as buggery but he CAN kick goals and make something out of nothing. His kicking is still very handy and his experience will be invaluable. Sylvia starts on a flank but rotates through the middle and Davey can also pinch hit on a wing. Bate is a good option at CHF because he is far superior to Miller and he has shown more in that position than Newton.

I didn't include Juddy/Meesen etc as nothing is certain. Bring on '08 though!
