Adelaide really did have that fraud vibe all year despite their ladder position.... a lot of people called it.

Probably a year or two from their premiership chance and maybe a couple of players need to be bought in. Adelaide over achieved this year. The game where they beat Collingwood to get guaranteed top two was a false dawn. They outlasted the Pies in that game but had no plan b or C. Got found out in the big finals when they were on the back foot.

Hawks impressive tonight, real well balanced and barely any passengers. With their momentum think they're every chance against the cats but will deservedly be fair favourites.

Dawson fairly quiet both games, perhaps carrying something. That dump kick he did early in the game where he could've straightened up for goal was a shocker.

The crows apparently were sick all week... That's the story they are going with because, as everyone in Adelaide is told, it's never actually the Crows fault... They always have to battle against unfair adversity. This time it was influenza... I'm amazed they were able to field a side based on what we're all hearing (& will continue to hear)... Lots to like about Hawthorn's game style. Moved the ball really fast, found targets up forward, won plenty of contested ball, great pressure and defence for four quarters. All the things I wish we did.
