Out of all the players who absolutely stunk it up in finals, im most disappointed in Dawson. He’s our Captain, he’s supposed to lead from the front, and he put in two of the most limp efforts I’ve ever seen from a leader. Not to mention the numerous occasions he selfishly burnt teammates trying to kick 60m goals. This stink is gonna last a while.

Dawson should be stripped of the captaincy. You can't have players that don't perform in finals having that title

That’s the most disappointing part

Very sad and disappointing My (football) sympathies.

Very (faint) silver lining. Two close heartbreakers would have been devastating but leaving with a feeling of “almost there”.

What the two weeks does is, it should show where the deficiencies are and what action is needed. I certainly hope Balme has watched intently and any thoughts of contract extensions for the coach are well and truly on hold.

Huge preseason ahead for all. A lot to look forward to next year, but it’s a long way away right now I know…
