We should just have the PA monogram as stand-alone

I can see the need for the badge type logo in certain uses but the shield is so poorly designed that it feels like a generic knock off.

A sophisticated visual identity would have the PA monogram as a primary element in the suite of assets alongside a crest/shield device and standalone typographic treatments.

Nothing of any worth will happen while David Cuck is at the club though. He sees that as his legacy.

I get the feel Luke has read the room (or the net) on the disengagement a contingent of fans have felt in recent times & he's deliberately talking about the fans in his interviews. It's smart & shows he's plugged in.

Honestly its incredibly abnormal for a coach of a sporting club to not talk about the fans all the time.

I thought Webster spoke well enough. He didn't really talk too much about football related things or give his or their hand away. Kept it simple.

He's going to be key to the team if he's the defensive coach. We really need some serious coaching back there as there is a lot of potential but it needs a guy to lead and mold them into a winning back 6. There is some polishing that will need to be done. Some better team work and gameplan stuff as well.

If he has some inkling of west coasts defensive structures and setups from his early days there, he will tighten the backlines up nicely.

At the end of 2024, Webster still would have been contracted for 2025 at WCE, and would have been moving from one line coaching role to another (i.e., not moving to a more senior role). If Carr had taken over at the end of last year, we'd probably have got something done then (e.g., bring in Webster as one of Carr's guys, help the Eagles clear the decks for McQualter to bring in his people). Once we committed to Hinkley's shambolic 2025 farewell tour, there was no point.
