Weather for this one going to be super windy.
Choppy weather Pies and lions have better weather.
Kind of going to be wind effected.
Punt rds the scoring end.
With the wind also showers mixed in there as well

Geez handbag fans are arrogant, trying to justify the softest run home the competitions ever seen.

Not surprising though, Max Holmes the smug campaigner said after a round 11 win over the Dogs, ‘Well that’s finals locked in for us now’.
He knew how soft the draw home was as much as the rest of the footy world did, yet Cats fans argue against it with rubbish like Sydney were the form team of the competition when we played them
Astonishing really

They won’t have been tested like they will be tomorrow night, in months.

Nothing worse than being the handbag's bitches then which all teams have been for Geelong for roughly the last 20 years. And spare me the 2013 prelim, that was a Geelong team in transition with several of out Top 8 players that were part of the 2007-11 era already retired or in the twilight of their careers. Geelong had no business being that deep in finals at that point in time and it was quite an achievement that they were still a contender in 2013 and eventually as we now know even to this day. As well as the ready made excuse that 2011 final didn't count because it wasn't an elimination one. Finals are finals, full stop.

We are in 2025 and stilly using thinly veiled homophobic slurs I see, inferring that any man that deviates from hetero normative behaviour are weaker or less of a man. Or are they still acceptable on BF if levelled at teams for some unbeknownst reason? Quite humorous and ironic that a Maybloom bandwagoner is throwing the word handbag as a sledge when one of their champions, Don Scott, was famous (or should that be famous) for rocking them and being quite fashion forward for his time. Didn't stop him for being quite a good footballer did it?

As the Darling Buds of Maybloom have been telling us for quite some time that Geelong has had a soft run in the last couple of weeks insinuating that Geelong's record does not accurately reflect both Hawthorn's and Geelong's final ladder position, therefore it is the Darling Buds who have the weight of expectation and pressure of being the real Top 4 and not a fake Top 4 team like Geelong; following their logic.

The build up to this game has been really weird.

Almost a low key nervous anticipation from both Hawk and Cat fans alike, it seems. Usually grenades would be thrown left, right and centre but this has been quite different (at least in my circles). Even our beloved Jeff Kennett has observed a noble silence

Honestly don't know what to expect. A calm before the storm it feels like

Reckon we're in for a belter

It's felt the same as the Pies build up imo

I was talking to a Cat supporter mate today (he's actually a nice guy) and we both agreed that any of the four teams can win the flag this year and there's a sense of dread that this could genuinely be a "what if" season for the prelim losers.

The nerves seem to be outweighing the excitement.

Majority of supporters on both sides holding their tongues knowing a loss gives the oppo huge amounts of ammo

Com'on Hawks !! Love they sent us legend Hodgey to get the Lions 'sorted out' when Lions were wooden Spoon mugs.

Taking us from the very bottom 2018 straight up into the Finals in 2019 with 16 wins, and have played Finals ever since.

Thanks Hodgey !! (turned boys like Harris into men ) and on the path to Premiership Glory .
(along with 'daddy' Fages too. also coming from Assistant coach job at Hawthorn to the Lions )

Thanks Hawks ! Hoping you Go get the Win and see you in the Grannie  :trophy:
