Which I'm sure you also know is exactly why the Suns wont trade him.I've watched Bailey up close and personal for 3 years.
It's not what he can do now. What he'll be doing at 23-24 is what I want him for.

Not everyone wants Charlie out. I don’t want him going anywhere!Soooooo.
Just quickly trying to surmise today’s groin grabbingly exciting developments.
May & Stephenson suddenly loom.
…& everyone (except me) wants Charlie out.
That it???
Not sure why you are grabbing your groin but yeah, that’s about itSoooooo.

Who cares? If they want out let them go. I dont know why this is such a difficult concept.

Cat/dodgy property deal...same sameIt's easier to imagine Charlie running around in hoops ... than it is in red or pink.
I wouldn't underestimate Geelong's ability to get their Man if he wants to go there.
sniff sniff ... the allure of Charlie is strong down at Kardinia Park.
I'll go a lazy $fiver that Geelong end up pulling a Cat out of the bag.

I'd say it has a relationship with all the Humphrey, Gulden, Walter, Blakey, Holmes etc. exchanges for Charlie fantasies. Not sure why you are grabbing your groin but yeah, that’s about it![]()
Anyone wanting May clearly hasn’t watched Melbourne games this year . Completely gone. Mods, please ban anyone that suggests he is a good fit.
Haynes had medical issues that he was discovering how to remedy through his final few years at GWS. it’s very different. He wasn’t playing near his contract however got GWS and we got him at a great price as he’s got plenty left in him.The same was said about Nick Haynes …
I think everyone has me wrong.
We need grunt. Whether that is May or Murdoch, Powell Pepper, Viney, Rowell, etc, it won’t matter. We are light. If we get an outside player like a Walsh and make them play inside, we are morons.
Cripps can’t do it alone and neither can Weitering. So we need some power so our outside players can run.
I have played and coached over 400 games and can say from experience, if I was playing Carlton, I would bully them knowing that they will physically break.

He’s literally the Walter in this scenario. Not a star at the time of the trade. The point is moot.
I havent seen him play this year, but based on stats alone, he is very much on par with what he has done for the last 5 or 6 season. Even improved stats wise over last year in some statistical categories.
Head over to the Cats' board, and even they've conceded that there's no chance of getting a deal done. It's easier to imagine Charlie running around in hoops ... than it is in red or pink.

History says most players will do another 12 months then try again.I think there’s a lot of over confidence re us being in the box seat with Charlie. Yes there’s examples of players coming back but there’s a lot of noise he has no interest in coming back to us. Most players who go nuclear get traded. We realistically won’t hold him to his contract if he’s mentally completely checked out.
I think we will find we will just need to take the best deal possible. Gone are the thoughts of we will need to noticeably win the trade. I fear a lot will be disappointed

If the deal isn’t good enough he won’t be traded, while the situation is far from ideal he hasn’t gone nuclear to the extent Merrett has where it’s near impossible to walk back in the club, I’ve even heard albeit third hand that his camp doesn’t think a deal will be doneI think there’s a lot of over confidence re us being in the box seat with Charlie. Last year Petracca's camp were leaking stuff about potential lawsuits etc and that still ended up with him staying and getting on with it.I think there’s a lot of over confidence re us being in the box seat with Charlie. This type of comment always makes me laugh. Journos aren’t making shit up as a general rule. Most of the best ITK posters here wouldn’t be more informed than the journalists most hate on. There is so much smoke here I can’t fathom there not being fire.Has he actually said he dosent want back in?
All I’m hearing is journos guessing from day to day
I hope so. I just think a first and Flanders for instance may well be enough for us rather than take the risk. And that’s far from what I’m wanting to be clear. If the deal isn’t good enough he won’t be traded, while the situation is far from ideal he hasn’t gone nuclear to the extent Merrett has where it’s near impossible to walk back in the club, I’ve even heard albeit third hand that his camp doesn’t think a deal will be done
