There's huge pressure on both sides. Geelong supporters have acknowledged our clubs part while dismissing the laughable "free hit, underdog of the century" cope by a few Hawks people. Why do so many fans want to downplay the importance of this to their side and go on about how the pressure is all on the other side? Both sides made a prelim, Cats might be slight faves, but it's as good a chance for the Hawks. Like alleviate the pressure so if you lose you can console yourself by saying, oh well, it's not our year. I know I guess, many of us do it, but I hope the players (for their sake) aren't thinking that. I hope they're as motivated as in any prelim. There's no guarantee Hawthorn or Geelong will even make a prelim next year or the year after. I want to see them fight to the death, and I'm sure the fans will. Yes, it is a game, and as a 'neutral' who hopes the Hawks win I'm hoping for a cracking game regarding of the result. If the Cats win hope it's close all the way through at least.
