If you're told it's bullshit when you claim that you can't get up for the GF parade on Friday, but can get up for the GF on Saturday, it's because it sounds like bullshit and probably is. But hey, apparently the AFL believes every bullshit claim of Vic clubs but disallows every bullshit claim of non-Vic clubs. I'd argue the fact that he went to the parade and then played and played well destroys your twit logic. If you can play on Saturday, you can go to the Grand Final parade on friday. The parade probably wasn't the ideal preparation for Gov - or a heap of other players who lined up that day. Can't believe you non-vics are complaining after a grand final that you won that you weren't given an exception to an AFL pre-GF expectation. An exception that proved to be unnecessary.

Of course it's not guaranteed, but the data in terms of things like games played and brownlow votes, coaches votes is pretty clear. Value drops off quickly at the pointy end of the draft. The DVI isn't by chance, it'll be built on this data - the drop off in value occurs straight away.

And the matching system only looks at what is likely to be gained by the matching club - whilst completely ignoring what is lost by the bidding club being pushed back in the draft.

And frankly, if he wasn't capable of sitting in the back of a car the day before, of course he shouldn't have played in the GF. But he was capable and he did play in the GF.
