Why do WCE think they're a chance for him? Would probably rather rot in Hawthorn's twos.

Money, gametime and a longer contract.

Not everyone's as stupid as Dev Robertson.

Our 2 year offer was months ago when he was at Box Hill after missing 1.5 years of football.

If we still only have the same 2 year deal in front of him then he should go and we should be sacking our list managers.

I would be amazed if there hasnt been another year added and more money as well.

He’s 22 and played an absolutely starring role in a semi-final. WC clearly want him badly. Pick 19 is an appropriate price

And then was subbed out on the weekend, go figure !

West Coast and Hawthorn negotiations:

Hawthorn: He’s 22 and played exceptionally well in finals, including 26 and 2 in the semi. He’s best 22 in a team with strong depth and we expect 10+ years of service out of him

West Coast: But he was subbed out on the weekend!

İ actually thought Sam made a mistake in subbing Butler out. Massimo or even Meek as Chol was on fire in the ruck. Anyway, hopefully WE keep the young man but four years is a good offer .

Great.

He played 2 good games before being subbed out in the third.

Only fans put any weight on finals vs non-finals games.

Recruiters don't.

Garbage. Fans of teams who dont know what finals are dont value finals.

If you dont think clubs look at players who dont get startled by the bright lights and big crowds...

A player's trade value doesn't go up after doing little for 4 years and playing 2 good finals.

Especially when they're out of contract.

You couldn’t be more wrong.

Is best on ground in a grand final weighted the same as best on ground in a regular season game?

Even if it WAS just a regular season game, 26 and 2 is no lean feat.

Fair enough if you want to lowball us, but let’s not be silly here.

It won't affect trade discussions one iota.

Cant decide if trolling or just desperate for any type of win.
I simply don't understand how you can seriously think a 2 game stretch over a 4 year career has some kind of bearing on trade value simply because it was in finals, especially when he went missing in the third one and got subbed.
