Or we may not be a serious consideration for either of them.
I would hope the fact Bonz source said to keep it quiet about trac means he's keen on us. Also the fact that it seems like we were the first club he met with.

Being second in the queue for Curnow is pretty funny but if he comes here and has three big years we'll get some swagger back

It's annoying and expensive but the right play. I think (hope) his body is probably fine and if he has Coleman type years it takes some pressure off

Defence is looking a little bit of a red flag I agree

Petracca would be a no brainer, ahead of Curnow? I dunno. Maybe. Depends on the day

Would he bother heading over to SA if we already met and he wanted us?
If we told him hes not our priority and we'd wait to see what happens with Curnow then yes, im sure he'd continue to look around.

Not at all keen on either Curnow or JUH but would be delighted to welcome Trac. Would make a significant difference to our midfield. Add Mills and it's a whole different thing.
As soon as we signed Goodwin any hope of Trac even considering us went up in smoke.

I'd obviously be very keen on Petracca, but I'm not sure the Goodwin appointment will help us. On the flipside, the Sydney market could be appealing for the Petracca brand.

I don't mind Rampe getting another contract. I just hope he spends most of the year in the VFL. It might seem like an unfortunate way for his career to end, but I feel like his experience and leadership would be massive for our VFL side – particularly for Snell, Edwards and Andrew.

The Demon connection...
James Jordan
Brodie Grundy
Simon Goodwin
...Christian Petracca

2014 afl draft
Paddy McCartin
Isaac heeney
Christian petracca

Everything points to Sydney 😀

As I’ve said before, the greatest thing that concerns me is that we have some of the best facilities and lifestyle in offer out of any club, yet we still cannot land big name trades (not counting Grundy because of his particular treatment by his previous clubs).

The flow in of this is that while we hold on to the likes of Rampe for one more year, I have no confidence that when that year is done we will attract anyone of note meaning our backline talent will be in dire straits 2 or 3 years down the track.

Maybe he met with us, maybe we're trying to keep things quiet, maybe we're more than leverage.

I don't really put much stock on posters talking about what sources have told them. Some post quality stuff and I don't doubt some actually have contacts, but who knows if the information they have is accurate, or the latest info, or if people are being honest with the sources that posters have. For sure it's interesting to hear, but that's about it.

Why could we not have guaranteed Buller a regular spot next year? Showed enough IMO. More than one or two others.

Which of the two or three talls are you absolutely playing him ahead of? That’s the issue can hardly blame him going for certain opportunity and we may not like the Pies but a significantly better coach
