Well, with Ladhams re-signed and only Lloyd yet to sign, does that mean our number of list spots available may mean there is nobody new coming in apart from Rosas and draftees?

We had to have a backup ruck so the list spot was always going to someone.

I assume that Rampe and Lloyd are being rookied and Hamling was extended on Rookie list.

Leaves us in an interesting spot list wise for draft…

Might depend if Rampe and Lloyd are moved to the rookie list. Rampe is only on a 1 year deal so he could be on the rookie list next year, which would free up a senior spot.

Was Francis on the rookie list? I thought he was senior list? Mitchell was drafted in the National, so he would have been senior list.

I don't know enough about this (and I have man-flu, so I can't be bothered thinking) but to rookie a previously-listed player, do we have to delist them and then add them in the Rookie Draft?

He only started playing with us when he was 23. So he probably feels as though he's got a lot left in the tank.

Riley Bev's story said he had agreed to a deal, but didn't say if it was as senior or as a rookie.

I'd say the club will specify when they announce it, or in their next list update.

He's not currently senior listed for 2026. Delist/don't sign, then take in the rookie draft, unless another club swoops in e.g. Hugh Greenwood.

With a 5 man interchange, I can see us just going with Ladhams and Grundy to ruck, 2 tall forwards (McDonald and Anartey) complimented by a smaller, more mobile forward line.

We may see the end of McLean...

He might be spending a bit of time in reserves and only in if the other 2 are injured. I can see most teams going down this path thus the need for 3 tall (ie >194cm) defenders might be diminished. Lions KPD line-up for example was Andrews at 200cm, Gardiner 192cm and Lester (who is more a general defender who can play tall) at 190cm. Instead, we're going to need a bunch of general defenders who can play on mediums, smalls and resting kids.
