Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Florent and Hayward come from a great culture and players develop very well. George Hewett and Nic Newman are exhibit A and B.

Any chance we ask for Roberts or even Wicks instead of Florent both play hbf with great kicking skills and you can even have the pick 22 you want
Changed my mind only want Robert's
Just looked at Wicks stats compared to Florent and If Florent finds his form before this yr he actually is half decent

Hate this prime time holding of deals crap too. If clubs are ready to lodge, let them do it. There’s been enough theatre, just let the clubs actually be football clubs. Honestly no other sport in the world tries this shit
Part of it might be the Swans trying to put some time pressure on Blues. GW doesn't fcuk around with his responses.

Surprised that if the clubs have been talking over the weekend, why the Swans don't have a grasp of whats needed to get a deal.

What worries me the most about losing pick 22 is Melbourne getting their hands on 7 + 8 for Trac.

I can see them bidding on Dean with one of those...

If it's pick 8 = 1299 points after 10% discount.

pick 22 is 686 points... so we lose that and we're in trouble...

The worst outcome if we trade 22 is, we'll likely have to use 10 to match the Dean bid.

But then we will take 11 to the draft.

So no chance of Lindsay/Grjl/Robey with that.

Top 10-15 prospects not tied to academy or F/S are probably:
  1. Duursma
  2. CDT
  3. Robey
  4. Sharp
  5. Grjl
  6. Lindsay
  7. Taylor
  8. Cumming
  9. Greeves
  10. Dovaston
  11. Schubert
  12. Farrow
  13. Marsh
  14. NHH
  15. Phillipou
of course, many will have different opinions but pick 11 likely gets us one of those from the 8-15 range to go with Dean.

We then of course have nothing to match an Ison bid too unless we trade some players like Acres, Gov, Fog etc.

I am pretty sure there are plenty of the "Keep Fevola Members" who marched up and down Royal Parade back in 2009 on the books who will drown out the Charlie booers come opening bounce (oops throw up).

What a time that was on Big Footy.

McKay played as much VFL. Is he a C grader?
For Different reasons Soap.
I think the trade will still happen but I'm glad GW and Co are holding firm.
If Charlie stays they must be convinced they can get him to toe the new line. We're only asking him to be professional and do the things he was contracted to do.

we arent losing 22

The club takes no responsibility for JSOS, TDK, Doc and Charlie all wanting to leave.
They have to say that as they backed Voss. 🤮

Voss was sacked at his home club in the Lions he was a hero at when the same thing happened.

I honestly think Carlton haven’t said boo into their expectations except it had better be a bloody good deal, they’ll remove the pick 22 going back I have no doubt it’s about smoking us out I reckon
