Would be hilarious if North are able to trade 25 and F2 for 11 while we struggle to do a trade for 22+F1

clearly North's F2 is valued higher than our F1 by Blues and same.. More points for 25 vs our 22 /s

PS : in seriousness why can't Blues do trade for 22+our f2, more so given we gave up our 9 for 10 for extra points for them.

That's what we're trying to do with 22 and F1. We're talking to some clubs but who knows if they'll bite.

My ideal scenario is Grilj,Oscar Taylor and Greaves. Massive upside in all three and a good mix of speed/spread and good disposable across the board

Herald Sun mock draft has us selecting Grilj with our first pick and Greeves with our second. I would be stoked with that result as both players seem capable of quickly developing into handy players.

hence my cheeky take on the comment that we are looking to package F1 & 22 for a teens pick( meaning 13 and over).

If we need 9 or 11, then trade needs to be made before highly likely Dean bid at Pick 3.

Actually think Eagles are trying to bully Blues to hand over 9 for 13+34 and Blues think Dons 21+27+30 is better deal for some reason or maybe they are trying to take a stand.

Straight F1 for pick 9 or 11 is a better reason/deal than any of the deals from Scum or Eagles( no need for pick 22).

Any deficit can get adjusted from the F1 we hand over instead.

Grilj just puts speed on the ball at every opportunity and takes the ball from inside to outside immediately either with his pace, or his vision and hands.
I don’t know how he’s going to get through to us, but the bomber twerp seems to think he will.

He is the perfect player for what we need.

Has great endurance also I've read sounds like a young Crawford.

Clubs want more future picks yet no takers for ours? That's strange. Reckon if we dangle it on draft night there'd be takers like dogs and blues . Our firs selection would be between Grjl Doveston Farrow. Second can't be sherbet or that other tall no one wants. If Greeves , Barker or NHH available, it's a no brainer for mine . Tall players are out of vogue, lions had Morris and the gallop who combined for a whopping 1 goal in the gf so, the less kpf the better.
Also, I wouldn't be giving up our FF for a Oskar type. Wasting a future pick.

Spoke with somebody today who has a link through the Murray Bushrangers. When I mentioned that Hetherton went at 27 to Hawthorn in Twomey's phantom draft, the response was a pretty emphatic 'he's only being rated that high because he's tall'. That did align with my initial thoughts on him as well. Haven't seen anything from him personally that suggests he should be taken that high.

Interesting that we are looking at trading up to get either the Sun's or Lion's teens pick. That's Picks #17 and #18, only 4 or 5 spots up with a deficit of around 193 (~ 200+) which we don't have this year so it would be F2. That's a lot for only a few spots and in a draft where the spots will be at a premium..

Doesn't quite make sense. Why give giants and norf spot before us? Just for a f2 which wouldn't be that Good anyway. Pick in the 30's. Unless, we use it with 22 to gold coast for their teen pick??? But, I heard norf ARE interested in Grjl!! Weird shit going on.

If Grlj is somehow still there, I don’t see us screwing around much with dinky little trades that could backfire in a live trading scenario. A player of his potential getting through 7 selections from Vic clubs would be a minor miracle.

Melbourne potentially taking Farrow and Nairn ahead of him is a little baffling to me honestly but in this case I will fully support their decision.

All i can think is that we must think we'll definitely get the guy we want if we shift back from 10 to 12 and if we're considering going up from 22 to say 17 it's because the guy we want we don't think will make it.. fairly simple really.. the interesting part becomes are we trying to get 2 different guys around the same range...
