Fair enough we’ll revisit this in JulyI believe they will be very competitive with those recruits.
They have a history of dropping back in the pack, resetting and recruiting, and then bouncing back up.Noble back in business. Will Kennedy, Nick Eynaud, Sam Glyde, Ollie Knockles and Adam Sulemani.

I'm not that convinced by Noble's recruits. Kennedy looks alright on paper though he didn't exactly set the world on fire at Seaford. The rest are unknown quantities or fringe senior players at weaker clubs.
Not sure they offset the loss of the Nelsons.
Bigger picture they're having to deal with some big changes I reckon. They used to be the biggest (paying) club by a long way in the south-east and brought players in at will. That has clearly changed and the gap has narrowed. They've never really produced their own players in any numbers.
Sketcher and Martin home grown? I know martin was a local
Martin was. Sketcher was from Springy Districts.
Noble Park has been a high immigration area for decades - there just isn’t the footy playing kids.
They’ve always had to buy in players.
In their Round 18 team they had five Noble juniors - Marson x3, Jones and Tour.
Looks like he will be at Hawthorn, massive blow for Montrose!Brodie McLaughlin a chance to get a train on spot at a AFL club. Was never a certainty to play full time at Montrose

The country club is from one of the most modest demographics in the State. Wouldn’t think they’d possess the intellect to have intricate records, that would test the rigour of quality investigators. While this is referring to Moe and Doncaster East (Kai Owens is the player)
A FEW ARE ANGRY
It’s fair to say the recruiting activities of a certain country club have rivals fuming.
The way they see it, the club was already doing remarkably well to stay within the salary cap this year and in the past few weeks has added a number of quality recruits.
Rumours are the oxygen of the football off-season and in this case the talk is of $20,000 sign-ons and healthy match payments.
One VFL player was apparently offered big upfront money as part of a $50,000 package.
“They’re taking the piss,’’ is how one official from a rival club described the situation.
Frustrated clubs have made calls to the league, demanding it bring in an AFL investigator to look over the books and, if necessary, have players sign stat decs.
Otherwise, they say, the competition will be severely compromised next year.
There’s a similar scenario in a metro league, with one club, already boasting a number of former AFL players, making a number of high-profile signings.
Clubs who chased one particular player say he’ll be on $40,000 next year.
Nick Hallo back to The Basin from Mitcham.
Some really big money recruiting happening down there this year, Lachie Kruger, Mason Byrne, Mitch Tsirtsikos and now Hallo. All highly paid at their previous clubs and couple of them are known cash chasers.
They are on the cusp of being put on the cheat list.
