I have been arguing in good faith. You just are not used to people challenging your ideas (fantasies) about Trump. Its obviously come as a shock to hear people who actually support him (which was the majority in the last election if you need reminding).
Give it a spell. We are way past it being a reasonable thing that he was elected. Trump has got pretty well everything wrong since his immoral, incompetent, grifting government took over.

18.3.2.1 Clearly Illegal Orders to Commit Law of War Violations. The requirement to refuse to comply with orders to commit law of war violations applies to orders to perform conduct that is clearly illegal or orders that the subordinate knows, in fact, are illegal. For example, orders to fire upon the shipwrecked would be clearly illegal.
How incompetent do you have to be to actually commit the exact example of a war crime published in the Law of War manual?

Except for getting the hostages back, dismantling Irans nuclear capability, resolving the illegal immigartion issues, guiding peace in the Middle East and not far from peace between Russia and Ukraine

If that statute is actually true then it is terribly written. ‘Clearly illegal’ can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. What is ‘clearly’ for example? And what is ‘illegal’? Based on who?

Fair

dismantling Irans nuclear capability
The capability that Bibi has been assuring us has been a month away from resulting in a bomb going on 2 decades, yeah?

But sure, he dismantled it - by bombing them, after campaigning on being the peace president.

resolving the illegal immigartion issues
Yep, by having roving bands of masked goons abduct people including US citizens off the street with no warrants.

Great stuff, no notes :drunk:

guiding peace in the Middle East and not far from peace between Russia and Ukraine
Haha. You don't wanna buy a bridge by chance do you? :tearsofjoy:

He's doing his darnedest to end the open conflict by giving Vlad everything he wants and selling out Ukraine, I'll give you that. But framing that as 'peace' is pure dishonesty and pretty disgusting, actually.

Guys, I think I've figured it out - Monkeys is Jordan "what do you mean by that" Peterson :tearsofjoy:

Maybe, just MAYBE, the rest of the manual regarding the laws of war might just clearly spell out… legality as it relates to war? Shocking, I know.

But to give you an example of something that is clearly illegal: Firing upon the shipwrecked

Iran have up their nuclear program during Obama's final term - they restarted it when Trump tore up an agreement that was working.

Only a dullard would try and credit him for stopping a nuclear program that only started again due to his own incompetence.

As usual missed the point. ‘Clearly’ is open for interpretation. Why include that word? It either is or it isn’t.

To distinguish it from inferred illegality?

If there’s a law that says you can’t steal your neighbours roses, a reasonable person might infer that to mean you can’t steal any flowers from your neighbour at all. But it leaves opens some wiggle room.

If you go steal their roses though, you are very clearly breaking the law as it’s written.

Which is what the republicans did here. They committed a war crime. It isn’t open for interpretation.

This is Trumps whole shtick:

Create problem
Complain about problem
Introduce a half ass solution
Claim victory

And they fall for it. Every. Damn. Time.

Ah no - I simply provided a hypothetical. And even specifically said it was a hypothetical so there wasn't any confusion. Alas, my hopes for people on this thread to understand the difference were dashed.

You only provided the hypothetical because of your unwillingness to acknowledge the facts. You're still lying about the (murdered) survivors being adrift and defenceless, using the usual mental gymnastics so favoured by Trump apologists.

Yes, it is reasonable to fire upon people pointing a bazooka at you. No, there is no f***ing chance in hell that the Venezuelan fishermen were pointing bazookas, or any weapons. So, Hegseth ordered murder and that is a crime.

You appear to be one of these disgusting people who support Trump because he allows you to hate those different from you, and like him, are willing to lie about every fact to justify your position.

I can see the bots arguing it was a boat not a ship so it was legal

What 'law' is that?

That he is a lying, dishonest, fraudulent, raping, grifting criminal?

What part about the above is a fantasy?

Want to bet? You can even define “not far”. Name your wager!

None of that has actually happened in the real world though.

Just because the conman tells you he has done something does not mean it has happened.

Well it is given nobody has been charged.

Yep, they were all banned for daring to not be intimidated by the echo chamber. No doubt you have run off to the mods to complain about me too.
Mustn't have differing opinions on here.
Unignored for the moment.
Nah. Didn't whinge about them.
They are the Rhys-Jones, the Pluggers and Ronnie Andrews of the SRP.
You are maybe, Nick Watson.
Give yourself a break and a breather.
And just stop using Echo Chamber.
It is lazy.

You do not know they were adrift and defenseless. That exists in your imagination.
It’s an opinion and that’s fine.

The rest of your post is just hateful garbage.

You don’t seriously believe that, do you?

So nice Iran stopped enriching uranium whilst Obama was in power because of an ‘agreement’ And then started again because there was no agreement. And miraculously managed to almost get to weapon stage in 7 years. All whilst doing under subterfuge. I assume Biden was fast asleep so he didn’t know what was going on.

If it’s that easy, then Australia should be able to spin up nuclear power in a few years.
