We get told "all clubs MUST draft to succeed" as if rookies, f/s academies etc don't exist.

We are lectured that "Tassie will compromise the draft" as if Giants and Suns didn't double compromise the draft through the 2010s, a period when we made two gfs and several prelims .

"No youth" when we have been coddling quite a few kids through the VFL, eg McRae, so we learn if they are good without risking 4 points in the big league by fielding juniors (see North, Eagles) .

The following Pies have made AA since 2022 - Maynard, DeGoey, Moore, IQ, J.Daicos, N.Daicos, Cameron, Crisp, J.Elliott (and Houston at Port). 10 players, and Elliott this year the only time one of your four veterans has dominated.

If you use draft guru for you player ratings. The 2025 Pies list had the following gradings of players:

A grade - Daicos x2, Moore, Houston
B+ grade - DeGoey, Cameron, IQ, T.Mitchell and Crisp

It would be good to understand what your rating is. As it seems you have an entirely different perspective and are not rating Pies based on their actual recent output under Fly.

You're obviously basing this on your projected 2026 performance, because Daicos has outperformed both players in each of the four seasons they have all been in the system.
