So if Larkey is kicking bags on Cobden, its either:Can be both. There wasn’t any 1:1 with Chom where I thought he was dominated or beaten badly by being caught out of position. Larkey had about 3 strong marks and goals. 1 against Chom but the kick was very good and gave advantage to Larkey.
Chom relies and was able to intercept afew errant kicks.
Just let it go dude ****en hellSo if Larkey is kicking bags on Cobden, its either:
A) on the shoulder defence doesnt work unless there is a man in the hole.
B) Chom is a shit defender.
Its either A or B
Darling had Comben for a bit on Monday. Later on Darling had Dawson, but was easily too strong and smart for him. Imo. Nowt wrong with flinging them around, I couldn't think that opponents are stuck hard and fast this time of year in anycase. I think Pink plays rd 1Larkey is playing CHF. Comben plays CHB, hence they have been matched up.
Pink has been playing on whichever KPF has been playing deep FF. That's been Trembath and Darling. Pink has been matched up against those guys the most, because he's the #1 KPD.
Pink is a round 1 lock. Not sure what you gain by trying to pretend otherwise. But you do you.
Mate you are way too angry for a season that hasn’t started. He kicked 3 odd goals took a contested mark against Chom where the kick was to his advantage. Chom did his usual of getting intercepts and reading the play to fill the space. It’s training and it’s far from a hard lock down matchup. Not that we ever truely play that.So if Larkey is kicking bags on Cobden, its either:
A) on the shoulder defence doesnt work unless there is a man in the hole.
B) Chom is a shit defender.

Or maybe, forward entries are much improved and the boy Larkey is duking them. Wishful thinking I know, but if we've worked out to kick to the favour of the forward, might be there is a C category. Certainly a favourable ball inside limits the back shoulder defence, but improved forward entry should be a thing for us this year.So if Larkey is kicking bags on Cobden, its either:
A) on the shoulder defence doesnt work unless there is a man in the hole.
B) Chom is a shit defender.

So the back of the shoulder defence didn't work this time?To me that reads as Larkey kicking a bag as a result of great kicks, but Chom otherwise defending well when it was a less advantageous/more even contest
OK - let me summarise. So far we are playing really well against ourselves. I think that's good.

Although I suppose that means half the team is getting beaten. It's an improvement from playing really poorly against ourselves...
Thats easier to follow, thanks.Almost, but not quite.
The summary theme seems to be;
a) Offensively we're quite good.
b) Defensively we look sub-par.
c) A might be because of B, or B might be because of A. Won't know for certain until we play a real opposition.
Oh for the good old days when we trained Tuesdays and Thursdays, then played Saturday arvo, back to the Social Club Saturday night and then the pleasant Sunday morning barrel at the back of the grandstand.Nothing screams closing the gap to the opposition by training twice a week.
It still baffles me how brady said we are backing in our current defensive stocks. It is going to be very hard to springboard up the ladder with our current stocksAlmost, but not quite.
