Koch went full Lindy

“I’m livid”
“I’m ropeable”
“Stupid “
“Embarrassed the club”

Goodings - “penalty?”

Koch “ he’s turned around since October “

I love .... I mean I really really love .... the bullshit from this club !

LOL - you keep listing to talk radio and 1970s rock and complaining about the young kids nowadays, like all retirees ...

If you play your 40 year old songs loud enough, those kids might get off your lawn ...
Oy! There's nothing ****ing wrong with Black Sabbath! My 17 year old has just "discovered" them and he thinks they're pretty bloody good too!

I went to a 90's pop extravaganza concert a few days ago - saw Aqua and the Vengaboys and a whole lot of other 1 hit wonder 90's artists and partied like I was 18 again. Told my 11 year old son about it and he gave me the same look I give him when he tells me about Fortnite….

In Jack's defense, the Oktoberfest video occurred late Sept/early Oct 2018. The texts weren't released to the public until late October. He didn't know he'd be in trouble for the texts at the time.
This part of the defence makes me laugh. Given the text messages were very clearly related to coke use, doesn't the fact that this occurred before the text message scandal became public make it much more likely that it was coke? I mean the whole text message bit was about coke and breasts. Seems convenient that its exactly the same only its not coke this time so its ok....

Right call on all three. They had been the tail wagging the dog resulting in two coaching changes, Blight wasn't going to let them have a third go. Not sure on the "could have gone round again" either, no other team gave them a spot and McGuiness was screaming out for a go somewhere else
I think he was screaming out to get away from the Hells Angels of rooting the club bosses missus

So he never ever thought snorting something off a girls chest, while being filmed ....that there was the slightest possibility of "hey should i be allowing this to be filmed" .......or was he thinking with an appendage that ruled his thoughts

Watts is stupid on several accounts in this episode of "**** in the City".

For starters, doing what he did in public, doing it front of a camera and three believing that the guy holding the camera was a mate.

FFS dont ever say BF isnt educational. :drunk:

If I was a senior coach there’s one word I’d ban around the club and it’s “hopefully”

Hopefully he can have a good year. Hopefully we’ll play well. Hopefully we’ll win the flag

Why don’t they say “He’ll put this behind him and knuckle down, he’s going to forget about doing stupid off field stuff and repay the fans and the club by leaving no stone unturned to become the player we all believe he could be”

But no. It’s just “Hopefully he can have a good year.” No plan. No determination. No resolve. Just hopeful.

Im not hopeful

I don’t have to go the Port board to know the old Port fans are tearing their hair out at this complete lack of leadership, discipline and accountability, compared to what they believe it should be

And they’re quite right. The old Port would never have tolerated this

Now they just need to take the final step and realise that’s because - this club isn’t the old Port. And never will be, so stop looking for it to act that way. Accept that it’s a franchise club that just happens to be called Port, and stop expecting it to be anything else.

The past is gone and isn’t returning. It doesn’t matter how many times you get Russell Ebert to talk to the players. It will never be the old Port

What a complete travesty that that man puts in so much effort then has to put up with this shit

It was so weak wasn't it. Great for us - they won't change anything
I can't believe people aren't starting to ask questions about the culture down there (besides us) - they regularly have incidents (at least a couple per year) - alleged sexual assault, car crashes, evading/fighting police, drinking, text & video scandals.

Is it a coincidence Port recruited Watts, Dixon, SPP, Impey, et al under the "leadership" of Ken Hinkley...the same guy who had a great relationship with the players up at Gold Coast during their years of off-field issues?

Remember when Kochie used to come out and have a go at other clubs when their players/crowds stuffed up?

The "wouldn't happen at our club"/"if it happened he'd be out of here" claims.

Then it happens at Port over and over and over again. Nothing.

Kohcie, Hinkley, Watts, SPP.

I feel safe knowing they are well entrenched at Port.:drunk:
dont worry, kochie knows how to run a football club cos he went to alberton. i've also been to that sty but i dont think i could run a club

Port need a clean out, start from the top and work themselves down. Reboot and rebuild.
