Unlike the rest if Australia it seems it's a very pleasant day in Sydney and should great conditions.

Our new senior assistant coach Matthew Nicks and Matt De Boer have the keys to the Ferrari tonight. No dents guys and try not to dent anything and it'll be fine.

Hopefully both teams can tone down the niggle and no reports or injuries for either side.

Last years draftees Jye Caldwell, Jackson Hately are playing and be interesting to watch.Hately looked quiet inthe practice match but we're trialing him as a winger after all his junior fiitywas as an inside mid which probably explains that.

Brent Daniels looked good in the practice game last week and with Zac Kangdon injured for the early part if the season will push hard for a spot.

I'm not an expert on the Swans list so I'll leave the details to them.

Going to be an interesting game to see if the Swans are in a 2019 collapse or not.

I think we are going to surprise people. We may not win the flag or anything, but I strongly believe we are going to be in the top 8 and in contention for the top 4. We are a much better side in 2019 than we were in 2018 as our younger players like Heeney, Mills, Hayward, Papley, Ronke, Melican, McCartin all have a year more experience and we have also traded out some players that were not in our future plans.

Having Mills and Heeney as full time inside midfielders is going to help a lot as well.

Who of the youngsters should I be watching tonight?

Tim Tan will be a breakout player in 2019, and elevate his game to the elite level.

Yeah Sydney have never really had that much of a down period in the last 2 decades, credit to your team. If they do have one it will be very interesting to see what happens. I think Longmire's time has come, same with Ross Lyon, they are too defensive for the future style of the game.

If Leon Cameron doesn't get us back to our 2016 attacking gameplan I think he will be canned this year too.

Florent seems to have improved quite a bit, his body looks more AFL ready now. In terms of players you might not have heard of Blakey, Rowbottom and McInerney were all very promising against your team last week.

Cheers

I watched but was focussed on our guys.

Night and day, Giants clean hands, long passing. Swans fumbling, overusing, dropping uncontested balls.

Should have been deliberate against Kennedy there. He kicked the ball towards the boundary and didn't keep it in.

Longmire and his offensive style managed 2 points so far under the new rules. Already had 8 in the defensive 50 in those last minutes .

Sydney got a fire lit under them at qtr time but their structures are poor. Yet again no one in their F50 and no one to kick to. Does Longmire know the rules changed or?
