I was at a Parents ‘Welcome Your Child to High School’ presentation in Footscray two years ago. About 150 adults there IIRC. The Principal asked “How many of you parents went to school yourselves in the west?”.
About 5 hands went up out of 150.
Not an Asian or African face in the crowd. (They may run the shops, but they can’t afford to live there anymore)
Eastern Suburbs invasion of Seddon / Yarraville complete.

So much didn’t make it onto the cheeseboard. Apologies to the dips, sourdough, Persian feta, oil balsamic mix and so on. My homemade salami didn’t even make the tray.
