Don't hate this team, will be interesting to see how bazo does if he's played on georgiadis would match up good with his speed. Excited to see malakai get a full game with Ryan out. Should be much improved in the forward line for our pressure.

Personally not about to hang a bloke for getting a little edgy with the banter on the footy field, but I will judge him for self reporting. Stand up move that shows Jack is a man of personal integrity and who takes responsibility for his actions. I hope the club aren't dumb enough to dump him from the leadership over something like this. Don't care about the punishment, whatever it takes to get senior players out of this side and not see the likes of Bo Allen and Tom Gross on the sidelines I'll take it. A suspension is better than an injury so happy days.

Jack Williams over Gross is bordering on melt worthy. I think they just took Grossy over for one of those 'ride along with the big boys and see how your life will look when you are all grown up' trips where they had no intention of actually using him. Ryan goes out and thats why Long went along. Jack Williams is the only senior player they have who can come in, and they were playing small already so its not a big deal to structures to just return to the 3 tall forward line for a week. Much easier than trying to figure out how to fit Gross into the mid rotations or teach him how to play a half forward role he knows nothing about. I hate it. It should be worth a melt. But it is what it is.

Was watching the footy in a Bali bar a month ago, and noted that there were a lot of gingers strawberry blonds playing for one side. I thought that it was particularly odd given that the team was Gold Coast.

Bloke next to me chirped up that redheads can required more anaesthesia than persons of other hair colour, and that they were hard khents to put out (in the interests of accuracy, yes we were hammered, no neither of us are medical professionals).

We then got into the "what if we had a whole team of 'em, how hard would they be to beat at stoppages...?".
