Duggan, Cole, Cripps, Owies, Hall, Dewar, Maric, Kelly, Flynn, Bailey Williams, Jack Williams, Brockman, Ryan, Bazzo, Petrucelle.

Football is won in the contest and we just don’t have the cattle who want to do what it takes to win.

I live in WA, and I watch a lot of the Eagles.
The recent games against Port and Collingwood, THAT is where you are at.
As an unbiased footy fan, I can honestly say that you have improved a lot from last year.

You have to make Harley Captain and trust he leads us out. Most of everything else in this club is dysfunctional. The AFL also has to step up as an empty stadium in Perth against the 17th team is not good for football.

The Beagles is a basket case apart from the first couple of years when we had deep lists its been a graveyard how are you supposed to develop and support young players. Richmond will be playing finals much quicker then we will even once there old players move on the tigers VFL system is far superior to ours

I don’t know that Harley is a positive. There’s every chance he won’t be on the list past 2026.

Yeah, if he was still on the fence, I reckon he would have made the call to his agent about 10 minutes after the final siren.

And not because he's homesick or could get more money elsewhere, but because he's obviously someone who is interested in competing and he's stuck at a horribly uncompetive club full of grifters, no hopers and career losers.

The only positive I can take from this is that the acid is going to be coming in hot this week. That was as insipid a performance as we’ve had this season, arguably our worst in a shit show of a year.

If that doesn’t get the group ready for a derby to prove something, nothing will.

That’s the kind of game that demands action at the selection table, and needs to be a true line in the sand. Unacceptable.

Nothing less than a line in the sand game needed, 2-3 suspensions for both teams and it’s a great result.

Crippa cooked, so a high, medium impact would be just perfect.

Harry, maybe an unco swinging arm and a 3 weeker.

Ryan, splitting Serong down the middle, 4 weeks reduced to 1 because of the Serong wan@er discount!

I’d be interested to know how many times Ryan got the ball on or over his head. Note to team: Ryan is not a KPF! I can see why he could be frustrated. Plus we also need him in the midfield. We certainly miss another small forward like peak Rioli.

I’d hoped Bazzo would get a game or two but regardless of whether he stays (and I can’t see where he fits in) Brock has to come back in.

TK to be in the Beagles for the rest of the season.

I don’t know what has happened to Jack Williams this year. This time last year I had great expectations. But Shanahan has leapfogged him - and I’d even prefer Bailey to Jack as the other KPF.

First quarter was good.
Harley played a great game.

3rd quarter was woeful.
Pressure collapsed after half time.
Repeatedly cut through against a team supposedly around our stage of development.

Harry Edwards continues to back himself and impact contests, regularly makes the right call between spoiling and marking
Ginbey never gave up, tried to spark things a number of times, runs himself into trouble, i'd like to see him develop some Harley style evasive techniques

Maric, a lazy undisciplined performance, inexcusable and not worth persisting with. Does not defend and butchers it
Flynn another weak showing with the obligatory set shot miss
Cripps one insane mark and a whole heap of rubbish move him on thanks for the memories
Kelly what else did we expect? What did the selection team expect? What now? Another ****ing 2 years of this shit. Went full stat pad mode in the last q and only just cracked 15 disposals in another wasted nothing game from a senior leader
Hutchinson has regressed into a fumble panic merchant why not leave him where he looked good at HF
Clay Hall had some nice moments but constantly caught out on transition and fumbles the first touch
Cole a complete mess, out worked out muscled and out thought by younger hungrier opponents
Duggan just destroys plays with ineffective disposal
Dewar drifts out and just meanders around, no appetite for the contest or the chase
Owies a joke, deadset one of the worst players in the AFL
Hough Baker Brockman shockers Hough gets a mulligan BAKER WHY THE ** DO YOU HANDPASS TO THE FLOOR YOU DAFT **
Bazzo completely lost and off the pace

No belief or energy from the very start, a cowardly effort for the most part. Would want to see a response against the dorks.

• So many times our oppo moves the ball from their back half, through the middle & into forward line with no pressure, oodles of space & free players eveywhere. How does this keep happening
• Why do we give away so many 50s for running into the protected area (been going on all yr)
• Are our forwards backleading or something (can't tell w/out being at game)? Can't understand why we're so awful moving into forward line
• Not sure end of R1 priority pick/s will help much anyhow, even if we do get
• We're 4 years in & we've still got an awful long way to go
• We have a lot of guys playing who should not be playing AFL

Can we please just put Gross back into the team & try to give him some confidence back. He showed so much the first 2 games & for some unknown reason he's had very little opportunity since. When our senior players offer so little it's just baffling.

Agree. McCarthy spent half a season in Richmond’s VFL team. Can’t see he’d be what he is if it had been the Beagles.

Id probably play every single spare small mid, back, and forward from the WAFL...and drop Cripps, Ryan, Brockman, Maric, jilliams, Hall, Dewar, Hutchinson, Kelly...

Tonight has erased much of the goodwill (albeit minimal) we had built this year. As far as 1 win seasons go, we've still had some positives to give hope, but tonight is a frightening reminder of how bad we are and how long this will take to fix.

Positives- harley & ginbey. Baker and duggan put in. The rest was a disaster.

Were being exposed because our good senior players are now all gone and we're left carrying a bunch of guys that are questionable afl players.

Multiple drafts away from getting enough talent on the list, before then getting 50 games into that talent. The 2020s are going to be a dark time for this footy club.

Wishlist for the rest of the year, get greggo a debut. Show me more of gross allan and malaki.

If you want to look at it as overall for the season then 17th defeated 18th which is totally reasonable really.

We seem to think we are better than we are but we are clearly the bottom side and the ladder proves it.

Can it be any worse going the expansion team route and play the kids? I know it’s generally frowned upon because there’s no “senior bodies to take the heat of the kids” but surely we’re a long way past that now?

Guys like Duggan, Owies, Kelly and the two rucks are consistent momentum killers and aren’t even keeping the kids out of prominent roles anyway. Most of them try so I’ll give them that but it’s just not enough.

You can handle it with the kids because you’d hope they’ll grow out of it eventually but watching the same senior players show up every week and dish up the same eye gouging shit is unbelievable.
