you've never heard of angels, let me entertain you, rock dj, feel, better man?

katy perry you've never heard of roar, last Friday night? firework? hot n cold?
I reckon most of the new gen wouldn't. Snoop transcends eras. I can guarantee you every young rap fan knows Snoop and his music. Sam

well most people have thats my point
Its generic rubbish mate. I stopped listening to mainstream radio years ago except for Triple M. I have my old school CD's if I want to listen to generic and most of it you wouldn't have heard on the radio in Australia anyway. That's all genres I'm referring to. You underestimate the knowledge people out there have regarding music.

I reckon 3 quarters of our team would only listen to Rap what the hell are you on about? It's Gen Y/Gen Z that this is supposed to appeal to. Did you not see or hear about the sell out shows for Travis Scott? Bloke is absolutely huge here and I'm not a massive fan of the new style of Hip Hop. Would much rather something a bit different than the cliched Mark Seymour act ( who I don't mind BTW but it's not the point).
did you not here about the sell out Taylor swift concerts, if the mcg could hold 300k it would of still been full, not even close to travis Scott

Post your favourite music here so I can form an idea whether you have an idea or not.
I like mainstream stuff but its not about what I like, it should be about what the majority will like/accept

I dont like Katy Perry that much but she's a big name with plenty of hits, so it ticks the box's, snoop is a big name but I dont believe his genre/style suits 1.30pm on grand final day

I was thinking with the Bris Games coming up and Aussie film doing a lot of music biopics recently, they should do a mockumentary on Chris Gaines. An office drone in the US goes to his hometown to bury a parent and his childhood bedroom is still intact with the Chris Gaines poster he’d forgotten (note some Spinal Tap stuff in the background as well). Decides to do a Searching for Sugarman where are they now? piece and heads to Brisbayne. Turns out that Chris Gaines is still bigger than Elvis in Australia (think reddit level hoax down under humour). It turns out even Garth Brooks is unaware of all this, and it is revealed that Gaines was a separate person (or is he?) getting their big break and there was some betrayal and they had a falling out, diverged and lost touch. Finish with an avengers assemble super group of musical alter ego personas. Have a lot of Australian icons as gushing talking heads, as well as a range of American reactions: I member that dude!; who?; conspiracists; Brooks fans who rejected the Gaines direction; hipster aficionados; and deadpan curmudgeon experts who were always aware of his musical success outside America and find the so-called unearthing a cynical beat-up.

Snoop was actually a great artist ^
back in the day but only for a few years from the deep cover soundtrack ('92) through to maybe dogg food in '95. By the time he'd beaten a murder case, become 2nd fiddle to Tupac on Death Row records and released his frankly awful 2nd lp his goose was cooked.
It's actually kind of amazing how as early as 96/97 he'd completely lost his style & flow, akin to maybe Adrian McAdam after his first handful of games

About the same time he started paying others to write his lyrics for him. I always joke that Murder Was The Case OST was based on fact. Everything since was left overs.

As if Collingwood went & ousted the Rank-Dawg before the Snoop concert. Thats just wrong & broken.

When the pimps give you attitude, drop it like it’s hot, drop it like it’s hot.

Snoops a cultural icon (imo) for anyone born between 1980-1995. Most people born in that age bracket I’m sure would have a fun memory associated with one of his songs.

Nice to see the D O DOUBLE G time his run to perfection for our inaugural GF appearance. A Suns man through and through, even in the hard times.

He’s a Lion now.

To his credit he does hold a world record. Snoop Dogg and his crew used a combination of 180 bottles of gin, 154 bottles of apricot brandy, and 38 jugs of orange juice. The giant cocktail was officially certified by Guinness World Records. That will send you to paradise and back! Whether he actually makes it to the Grand Final is being discussed behind closed doors and the AFL powers that be might need a stiff drink when it's all over?
