I genuinely think Silvagni is underrated and has been mistreated by Carlton.

He has had injuries and been moved from end to end.

Give him a set role in a more settled team and as long as he stays fit I think he can be very valuable.
That's been mostly his problem though. Doesn't stay fit long enough to lock down a position long term.

I love Jack, I suspect we'll still see him play good footy. Hope his body holds up better for him now.

How do you think he will go at the Pies?

At least now he's not getting a game for his name.

He'll play his role, albeit from then on for his sake I'd actually be emotionally invested in him going out and earning himself some accolades, being involved in timeless footy history moments or something like that. If not he'll remain one of the most unremarkable 150+ gamers in the history of the sport.
Scratch that, Saints can have him :tearsofjoy:

Has definitely gone up a level this season. It does make you wonder how his career may have gone had he not been moved from end to end as often as he has.

Have to admit this is the first year in forever he's actually got some attention for himself. He wasn't ever going to be drafted anywhere else so it's hard to say, but yeah genuinely one of the what-could've-been careers.

Thread favourite Lachie Keeffe announced his retirement today. He was mentioned when this thread was started in 2015 and hung on for another 10 years.

However, fellow thread favourite Tom Campbell will be going around next year after signing on again at Melbourne

If Tom Campbell debuted in 1985, he'd be signing on for the 1999 AFL Season.

The closest the '90's got to this were Dean Wallis, David Flood, Shannon Corcoran, Terry Thripp and Matthew Francis.

Aaron Francis, another great survivor - cut by the Swans but GWS sniffing around, may chuck big red another opportunity.

James Aish pulled the plug today - 3 club journeyman that had one of my favourite career highlights while at the Pies:

A true crusader for female equality.

Genuinely didn't know he played in the 2018 grand final. Must've been tagging Yeo or something.
