Watching the replay.

Do we really want Worpel. He looks shithouse.
He's no good for us. We have young players ahead of him, and as I said during the week, I doubt he'd manage the expected work rate at Geelong. The only thing of note that he's done was a blind turn around Selwood in his first few games.

Great win by the Cats , no surprises in the result , in the preview thread i tipped Geelong by 35 pts and they won by 30 pts

It will be an interesting GF , one player im a little bit concerned about if Coll make it is De Goey , a real burst player and can put in a Best on Ground perforfance , Geel keep him in check then i think they will win , very similar to 2011 Geel are just hell bet on being Premiers after the dissappointment the year before

Clark haters are awfully quiet.
Not a Clark hater but I could not understand the selection over Bews etc.

Scott gave him a role across half back though and he was very good. Earns his spot for next week.

On Worpel, if the Cats see something in him, that's good enough for me.. They don't often get it wrong..

Can always hang out at the Chinese across the road with the best people. :)
For sure. However, for me, it's get in your car and drive eight-hundred kilometres down the highway.

I must say, though, a trip well worth it. Even though I didn't drive, I caught the plane. 😄

Just watching the replay for the first time.

The contested mark and goal from Neale in the second quarter is genuinely huge.

Just genuine one on one skill to clunk that and goal from 45.

This kid is going to be such an asset.

We wouldn't be here without him.
I loved his mark that wasn't his mark because Danger was pushed. It was a beautiful contested clunk, with the dukes fully stretched out.

I know, I was being a 🍆

Did you go to the one in '22? I was at the game and got blind in the CBD. Still barely remember getting the train back to Geelong.

Nope was at the game and stayed in Richmond.

In the old days you'd see the boys at Lambys etc after a GF but this party at the rooms might be the new thing

Yeah I can't see it myself.

But what do I know :p

Friendly reminder that Bowes, Clark, Dempsey, Holmes, Lawson, Mannagh, Martin, Mullin, Neale, O'Sullivan and Smith who all played last night weren't a part of our 2022 premiership side.

Who says you need to bottom out to rebuild?

A few have piped up in the i was wrong thread, but also, if we had lost I think the same performance would see him cop a bit of a roast for some of the turnovers. Not just that one out to the wing but a couple where he had time and space but didn't take it and blasted it instead.

You can see what he'll bring though.

Don't forget, he also clunked one in the first quarter, but the free to Danger for the push out negated it

One thing I can't understand is the stats sheet for him. Should have been 2 goals sure but he only 3 disposals.

I feel like he had a lot more influence that that.

I think we can cover Stewart but if Henry doesn’t get up it would be a big challenge to cover both.
I’d bring Stanley in, help us in the ruck and give more options to deploy Blitz where he needs to go.
If both are out, Stanley and Bews could work. Mr Fixit in defence and part- time ruck
B-Bews DeKoning Mullin
HB-ZGuthrie O'Sullivan Humphries
C-Holmes Atkins Dempsey
HF-Close Cameron Mannagh
F-Stengle Neale Danger
R-Stanley Smith Miers
I/C-MOC, Blicavs, Martin, Bowes
Sub - Clark
Emerg- OH, Duncan, Knevitt

Most importantly, he didn’t allow Barrass to take uncontested marks at will. Brought the likes of Stengle and Close into the game in particular.

He barely touched it. Not worth discussing I would have thought
Quality post.

14 touches in 3/4 quarters. How many exactly were you expecting?

Yeah felt like Barrass never ended up anywhere dangerous. It's the performance that we want him to do on Harris Andrews but he never pulls it off on him
