I gotta say I am genuinely fearful atm. Reports about City wanting Maresca to be their Pep replacement. In comes the two buffoons Berrada and Wilcox to snatch him up before City can.

Injuries and players away on duty. Seems a tough time to sack him. But also seems like he was wanting it. Relationship was getting toxic. The circus continues.

Basically 13 months in the job. 1 transfer window. No midfield help. Players injured and away. In 6th place.

Basically his comments offended Wilcox and Barada and co so they fired him

Which I think he wanted by the way.

Jobs for the boys and **** anyone who dares speak up against this incompetent board.

What makes it even worse is that the senior management was purposely leaking certain information to media to undermine Amorim to the point the reporters were clearly trying to get him riled up in press conferences. For example, asking him "didn't you know you would need top players to play your system before you took on this job?", which was clearly a response to Amorim saying we need more transfers just a week before.

If they didnt want to keep playing the same formation/wanted a strategic change and Amorim didnt agree, they should have amicably parted ways by saying both parties aren't aligned on the way forward and move on. What the hell was the need to make this a toxic mess. Forget player player, we are now looking at politics at senior management level which are directly influencing on field outcomes.

I'm usually in favour of sticking with managers, but he just wasn't up to it.

He has us in 6th. It’s been a frustrating season full of missed opportunities, but everyone would’ve taken this at the start of the season.

“He just wasn’t up to it” is a cop out IMO.

They’ve taken the easy way out. Again. Bunch of ****ing cowards.
