Paul is fortunate he survived this terrible health issue. Pneumonia and turned away from a UK hospital, then mis-diagnosed in a Bali hospital. Perth hospital fixed it. Our health system is still very good compared to other countries. No doubt that Paul has lost weight and strength and probably will take time to reach his peak fitness. Let's not get judgemental on his performance in the first half of this season.****ing hell

Medicare didn't work apparentlyQuality healthcare over in the UK it seems…
A litre of puss removed from your lungs is nightmare fuel.

P. Curtis - Lung full of puss. 12 weeks.Holy shit.
Here I was thinking it was a little infection that the Balinese Hospital couldn’t get control of! Had no idea it resulted in surgery and a near 3 month lay off.
Fingers crossed there is no lasting injury to his lungs and that it doesn’t impact his tank too much.
Surely this gets added to BigFooty pre season random injury/medical episode folklore…
As someone who cops respiratory viruses really bad it's hard, because post COVID no one seems to give a **** if they infect you.He was seriously hit by Covid just before the draft from memory
Obviously needs to be diligent with his respiratory health
On par with wells clots on the lungs.Holy shit.

You're right. It's not pretty to be coughing up phlegm that's taken the shape of the internal cavities of your lungs and has veins that formed in it. Not to mention the blood. It can scare the other people on the train, that's for sure.As someone who cops respiratory viruses really bad it's hard, because post COVID no one seems to give a **** if they infect you.
I thought exactly the same thing, we seem to cop more than our fair share of player related issues. Hope he is on the mend soon. This only happens to a north melbourne player, so cursed.
Just hope he gets through the season ok, I'm not expecting a big year and no one really should after medical trauma like this.

He’s been in main training hasn’t he?Yep. Think we’ll have to lower our expectations on his output after that.

And there’s still two months left before Round 1.
I’ll reckon he’ll be close to 100% by then.
And in other things that happened months ago, we cross to our reporter Marty McFly….
Who says he hasn't had bothPus TPA
