Mega Thread The Port Store Mega Thread Part 2

It'd be nice to see a photo thats not taken against a blue background.

Overall kinda middling on it. I think its better than any of the away guernseys we've had in the last ~20 years (lowest of bars). Its certainly better than the teal pre-season one. I hope they wear it with the dark shorts and socks...

Whatever Rozee was wearing in the bts video is shocking.

Grok's input:

  • Port Adelaide's new 'Fully Charged' guernsey shifts to a dominant teal base with the club's signature black 'V', fulfilling long-standing fan requests for more of the Port River-inspired color after years of silver clashes.
  • Debuting in the 2026 AFL Gather Round opener against St Kilda on a Sunday night, the design includes coordinated shorts, socks, and run-out shirts, marking a fresh evolution from the 2023 white-and-teal variant.
  • Public response splits sharply, with supporters celebrating the bold heritage nod amid 13K+ views, but detractors mocking its resemblance to Victoria's 'Big V' state jumper or deeming it visually unappealing.

Comparing it to the teal guernsey we brought out in 2015 for pre season games, this is much better in my opinion and something a bit different than simply altering the colours of the chevrons.

I thought that stealth guernsey from a couple years back that we didn't wear for some reason looked good too, but i guess this one here would work better if we decide to use it as a clash guernsey. Maybe they are dipping the toe in for gather round to see what the fans reaction is to it before making something like this a clash guernsey in future.

I'm surprised by how overwhelming the negative reaction is to this guernsey considering when we've brought out the lightning bolt teal guernsey last year the fans reaction was much more positive but this definitely looks better to me.

I'm sick of the white guernsey as a clash and I was disappointed when they rolled that out again. I'm happy to keep our home guernsey as it is, prison bars for special occasions and then changing the clash guernsey up a bit more rather than sticking with the same thing year after year.

Because its ****ing blue

Beats the current white thing we use as a clash - and what I like is the chevrons are well proportioned. It's the size it should be on all our jumpers

Its not though. This mixed with white shorts would be a disaster.

We cant compare this to any away guernsey without considering white shorts.

This looks good, undoubtedly as is, with black shorts and the all black chevrons and black cuffs. Which is effectively only possible in a one-off, pseudo home game situation. People will buy this, but as an AWAY guernsey it would suck big time.

For that reason, as long as it is ONLY for gather round, I'm happy with it.

Remember when they tried to sneakily launch the STEALTH guernsey and then didn't wear it because of the negative response, saying, "lol nah that's just a merch item"

A one off guernsey would be a great time to lean into something a bit more Port Adelaide.

We get to wear a proper Port guernsey 1 time a season.

I'd rather that magenta and blue striped guernsey from the first heritage round than this. Or as Cheesey Mac has been pitching to me lately, the white and sky blue hoops that we didn't get to wear in 2020 because of the shortened season.

Fans demanded the stealth guernsey too I am told.
