Thanks all, will go Newman especially after noticing his high marking & kicking, that's probably a better indicator than a bunch of handballs. MacMillian also on my radar but like Salem I'd want to see a few more games like that.
Thinking of bringing in Salem as a POD, anyone want to save me from a potentially massive blunder?
EDIT: alternatively, could bring in Newman. Or another defender under about $700k.
2132 with Goldy remaining. Can't complain. Only real disappointment has been Zach Merrett, who is looking like a definite trade-out. And some average bench rookie scores.
Assuming no injuries to cover, thinking I'll do something like Zach Merrett + Zac Williams > Coniglio + Rookie.
EDIT: Or...
Well, this didn't happen. ☹️
At least he didn't completely spud up though, like Oliver or Grundy, I can live with 200.

Happy to have had Sheedy and Rockliff. Also happy I skipped Grundy and Hawn but we'll see how Witts and Holy go before I celebrate. T Kelly was a miss, I had him for a while but made way for Newnes... we'll see how that turns out.

Could it be due to that toe niggle?
I ended up deciding against including Grundy as a gamble that he'll have some (relatively) mediocre scores and drop at least 50Kish, but will probably attempt to get him in if his form improves (especially if the slump is due to a minor injury that heals)...
Note that there's also a Wednesday night game in round 6 (double-partial lockout that week) with Richmond vs. Melbourne. So add Melbourne to that list and bump Richmond up one more as well!
Yep, I'm planning to Ruck 2 on the bench as emergency and a non-playing ruck rookie on field and give...
There's a partial lockout, right? Any potential loophole VCs out of the Carlton or Richmond sides? I'm thinking P. Cripps.
EDIT: Partial lockout according to https://fantasy.afl.com.au/classic/help/game-guidelines#sec-3
Interesting that we have so many partial lockouts this year, having VC...
I'd like to join in, can't recall my exact sore but I had a woefully bad season last year ending in the 20K+ range.
AFL Fantasy has been a magnificent investment of my time as it's proven to me that I should never go anywhere near the stock market or any other financial gambling situation...
Depending upon how far along talks with NM actually went, I could imagine other clubs not wanting to entertain contract talks with him in the future...
Felt so badly for his two posters, but regardless his work around the ground made him more than a worthy inclusion into our premiership 22. Has added a badly needed element to our forward line & ball movement.
Thought it was pretty standard GF umpiring for better or worse - lots of play on calls, and effort only rewarded when it was above and beyond the already high pace of the game.
IIRC most of the board here was pretty happy with the Lynch trade, almost regardless of any comp - people thought it was fair enough for him to go and finish his career elsewhere since he was past getting games here. Quite amazing that the result of that trade may have led to their loss against...
Happened to me during the 2006 GF, watched the first 2 quarters in the terminal and listened to the last 2 on radio on the plane. Weird flight since roughly 25% of the passengers were doing the same but it was a flight from Sydney to Perth so it was half going for each side...
Honestly, I don't know if it's good for the team to obsess about this loss if it was due to a loss of self-belief to start with. Much better to say - 'we were poor, and we know we can do better, we just have to get back onto our training regime and play the season one game (or better yet one...
I accidentally had the C instead of the VC on Macrae.
Also flunked last round with like 1450 points. Season over. I don't think there's any coming back from here and it doesn't feel worth trying.
