...the return of BUCKLEY!:):):)

It's been 754 days since he retired and in 12 days he will be returning.

Welcome home Bucks!

bux18_gallery__470x247.jpg

This is a big occasion for the club. People think the Malthouse - Buckley combination won't work.:D Idiots. The whole lot of them! They are scared of us, or in the words of the Scum "They know we are coming."

There are so many great memories of Bucks, but the one that stands out for me was when he kicked 6 goals against the Lions in 2006. He was unstoppable that night!:)

So everyone post your favourite Buckley memories, videos, pictures etc in this thread.:thumbsu:

Doesnt that say something about the great man? this man is going to succeed as a coach, there is no doubt.
It seems he has quite a bit to move into his office lol

great feeling to have him back

this is so exciting , it will work and for many years to come we are going to be an awesome team, we couldnt win a flag when bucks was captain, but i have a feeling we will win one while hes coaching:thumbsu:

Theres a big difference when a coach comes in during a rebuilding stage and has to play around and chop and change the list. Bucks will coach with a very settled and experienced list, so theres no reason why he cant succeed.

True. But a coach who takes over at a rebuilding stage also has a number of years to develop their coaching skills before they are required to win. Bucks will take over a very good list however he will face more personal pressure to succeed instantly.

He will also be challenged with maintaining a list at it's peak. Some of the hardest decisions a coach needs to make is when a list is at their peak. Players may not fit in their salary cap. Players who can't get games are looking elsewhere for opportunities. Does he back end contracts to get the most out his list knowing that he will be in harder cap trouble later on?

Valid points. Youre right, its easier said then done winning a flag. On paper it looks like a dream scenario for him, but it could also bite him in the ass if there isnt instant success.

Don't be stupid....

We need bucks going home at times to make more baby boys
cannot argue with that, he has 2 another 16 to come

He couldnt win a flag as captain but he will as coach. I CANT WAIT!!!

Fingers crossed he has a genuine impact on the playing group from the word go...

I can't wait
