I think the hope is that he will be given a clear role backfilling injuries and a string of games to cement himself in it.How can this possibly be the making of him?

Well Harry jonesy certainly isn't nailing the tall utility position so a game or two in the vfl and I'd get him to play Jones roll.
Sorry I should say whenever he is ready there is a spot for the taking. With a bung calf? Interesting.
I wouldn't play either of them in the seniors. I'd leave both in the seconds to see if they can find a position they're good at and get some form. Maybe leave Cox as a forward and try Jones in defence. To be honest I think they're both at risk of being moved on at the end of the year.Well Harry jonesy certainly isn't nailing the tall utility position so a game or two in the vfl and I'd get him to play Jones roll.
HES BACK!!!
Was off for a bit and the Physio was looking at his neck but he came back on and into the ruck.Someone said he injured his neck in the VFL?
He’s got the height, but nothing else about the way Cox has played in his career so far makes me think he could be a legit ruck to be honest. Was off for a bit and the Physio was looking at his neck but he came back on and into the ruck.
Great news! Potentially could play KPD if Laverde spuds it up?Was off for a bit and the Physio was looking at his neck but he came back on and into the ruck.
Comes down to attitude and competitiveness which is the serious question mark. In the limited sample size he has rucked okay. He’s got the height, but nothing else about the way Cox has played in his career so far makes me think he could be a legit ruck to be honest.
I hope I’m wrong.
A mark blicavs type role is probably his only chance.Comes down to attitude and competitiveness which is the serious question mark. In the limited sample size he has rucked okay.
Obviously the club is looking at it as he was the second ruck / wing yesterday.
Have my doubts as well but at least they are looking at it
A mark blicavs type role is probably his only chance.
I agree lack of competitiveness is huge concern.
The Blivcas role is the ultimate pipe dream. He is a genuine 1 of 1 athlete and body type.
I’ll take 6 weeks of Cox playing football, at any level, with a smidge of physicality in the last 2-3 of those weeks as he finds his footing/confidence. From there, we can start to think of what position. - lord knows, there are vacancies and opportunities.

It's essentially opening up a role for Cox, as it was seeming that he was long down the pecking order for any tall role. This is giving him a chance at re-igniting his career. The Blicavs role is also the Westhoff role is also the Goodes role. It's the tall utility who can play wherever needed. But first you actually need to let them be AFL standard in one position before they play everywhere all at once.
Each had different strengths and level of quality, Goodes was a star in pretty much every area of the ground, Blicavs an athletic outlier who's developed in to a genuinely good footballer.
Right now we're thin for KPDs and Ruckmen, I'd think that's where Cox should be playing in the VFL right now.
